I read recently that Google is starting to "structure" search results for users based upon the types of websites visited and other patterns noted in cookies (I suppose).

I got my friend (live in same city) to do the same search I was doing and he sent me a screen shot. The results were rather different and the top 3 in mine were nowhere to be seen in his.

Does anyone know of a way to avoid such filtering so as to get results that users would likely get (if they didn't search the same terms all the time).

How long was it before your friend searched? Sometimes google shuffles the data centers - I have seen that on my own websites. In case you don't know, you can check it by hovering your cursor over the cached link within the search results. You should see something like 74.125.155.132 in your browser status bar at the bottom.

The top ten results in Google will be different for the same 20 people, searching the exact same keyword(s), in the same city...

It's been like this for some time now, done the tests to prove it.

      Nothing new...

Their just trying to focus in on surfing patterns now.

      Scroogle Scraper

Scroogle acts as a proxy between you and Google. No cookies, IPs or search data is recorded so no geo location or search results based on past searches.

It's my homepage. Everyone should at least bookmark it.
