Best way to setup funnel for recurring product?

I'm a software developer and just thinking about the best funnel and approach for conversions and long-term income.

We know recurring products don't sell well on the front end, but they generate more revenue. Generally, people put one time products on the front end and upsell recurring products.

Do you think the best approach is the product should have a simple version available for one-time price then upsell the pro version for a monthly price?

Or should the product just have 1 version (recurring) and the front end should be a related product that I sell for one-time?

Or is there a better approach to setup the funnel to sell recurring products besides these 2?

You need a Trial to get them hooked.

If its an auto rebill, give them something super cheap like just a few bucks. If its a legit purchase say like, $149 per year, then give them a free trial for 30 days. They will set it all up and become invested and then pay.

Definitely do the trial ^ that's an amazing idea.

You should definitely do the monthly charge as an upsell and the standard product as the front end.

I would personally give them extended features of the software I'm selling for a monthly price but really make it worth it. I would start at like $49.95 a month and go up to another package which would allow more: something around $99.95 and then a final one at $199. Price packages on this one are the best way to go, especially with software. You're going to get so many wanting to go big, and they'd be able to distinguish between their actual needs and buy according to that.

    Hope this helps
