I Need Your Help Advice Guys Urgent! Potential Sell Of My Life

I'm comfortable with this sub-forum because more honest people are here. and people helped me in here.

Some people know my story in here, some of you guys became my friends, I've been busy lately creating projects and my last website that I created for 1 month I've sell to Flippa for $800 the site have great potential but I need money so I decided to sell it.

I've been buying domain lately for another projects that I can create for a month and then sell it again. Someone emailed me a domain broker and said that his client is interested in my domain. I packaged the 3 domain for $400,000 and if they only want the single domain that they inquire they can acquire it for $200,000 but they are said ok for $400,000 but they need something. I don't know if this is legit. Here it is:

400,000 - Ok.

Before we proceed with the sale my client needs only one thing from you:

My client is an experienced investor and he buys certified domains only to avoid potential risks with trademarks and overpriced/stolen domains. So simple certificates from GoDaddy or Sedo do not suit the needs of my client. He needs a complete certification with a valuation and a trademark infringement verification.

The proper certification contains three points:

1. Independent valuation of the market price. It will show your domain name is not overpriced. On the other hand if the valuation comes higher we will increase the price accordingly.

2. Trademark infringement verification. It proves your domain has no trademark problems.

3. Verification of the owner. It proves you are a legitimate owner and your domain has no any obligations and restrictions. I'm sure that you are a legitimate owner so it will be only a formality.

If your domain has been certified please email me the certificate and we will proceed with the sale. If you don't have the certificate it's not a problem. I may send you a link where you can obtain it. You can read about the certificate agency at Google Answers: Can someone recommend a good appraisal service with a trademark verification? ("Domain Broker" is my nickname).
.
Please don't worry. It takes 1-2 minutes to order it. The results will be sent to you within 24 hours. Then you send me the certificate via email and we'll proceed with the sale As a broker I'm very interested in a good valuation part of this certificate because my client pays me a commission (10-15% of the sale price) on every domain purchase. So I'm not interested in a low price too.

The process is very easy:

1. Go to the certificate agency site and order a certificate. Just submit your domains and let them know you have a buyer with $X,XXX offer and need a valuation near this value. After several hours you will get the results. If the price in your certificate comes higher we will increase our offer accordingly.

2. Then send these results via email and we'll proceed with the deal.

If you are new to the certification process I can help you with the step by step instructions.

SCAM - He will send you to a site that will charge you for the "valuation" of which he gets a cut and that's the last you'll hear from him.....

My thoughts: This just doesn't sound right to me. The offer and instructions to you make me very uncomfortable. While I have no background in selling domains, I see some things that raise some red flags.

I think you need some professional legal advice from an attorney that specializes in this type of deal to vet the supposed offer and supervise the deal if it is investigated and found legit before you even think of going ahead with a certificate to their specs. That's far too much money offered not to have it done right.

If you can get some other warriors you recognize on here to explain things like this they've seen before, it is possible their thoughts would be the same as mine.

    Just my humble opinion.

I know, salegurus. I don't like to call anyone a scam, even if they look like one, just on the slim chance I am wrong. An attorney could probably have sized this up as quickly as I did and maybe not even charge him much, if at all. Some offer a ten minute or so consultation, although I couldn't guarantee that. At least he would be more likely to believe an attorney than my screen name which isn't likely he knows.

This is an old scam. They will send you a link to a fake cert company where the money you pay for the fake cert goes in their pocket.

A legitimate buyer will pay any and all fees. They won't ask you to pay for it.

You should think like a realist.

Put yourself in their shoes, would you approach someone to buy a $400,000 domain and tell them that if the independent valuation comes out higher than the price offered, we would increase our bid? People with that kind of money and brokers brooking those kind of domains don't leave it up to chance when offering a price tag. They always do their homework before starting a deal - otherwise anyone can broker a 6-7 figure domain deal.

What most of the warrior are saying, I would echo - People are always making massive offers to domains and low balling the owner into getting it valuated from a scam company of their choice.

    Hope it helps.

P.S If you really own such a valuable domain, I would recommend to have it manually valuated from Sedo. They are widely known and respect in the field and would give you a better understanding of your domain values.

I think you're going to lose 79 euros if you pay him anything. Just for the heck of it, I would send him a message back and state I've decided to use a local company to do the valuation and the verification and watch him start making excuses as to why I need to use the company he recommends.

Run, away & fast. Or keep him interested whilst you report the domain so they can get him.

I've got the same offer like you from the same person. I told him to pay the certification fee if he wants the domain. Haven't heard him since then. The only difference between yours and mine is that the guy is from switzerland basel and he is Kuperman instead of Shavit.
