Here are the facts... asking for your advise/guidance!

Hello all,

Some facts:

1. I can write on any topic - but I would prefer to write on gambling, pharmaceuticals and finance since I have been involved with these industries in the past (offline).
2. I can write about 10-15 articles a day.
3. I don't know much about SEO, so you can assume that these articles will not be optimized or anything.
4. I am a domainer, so I have a good amount of domains at my disposal.
5. I have a decent budget, but I would prefer not to spend much since at this point, I am taking money out of my savings.
6. I am a fast learner.

The Questions:

What would you recommend as the best way to make some money, given the facts above?

Would you be willing to help me out through the process - or to at least point me to the right direction?


Some notes:

Please don't recommend that I should go back and work offline. I can do that and I will but only AFTER I try some internet marketing first and only IF it doesn't work.

Please don't ask me to write for you. I am not a writer per se, it just so happens that I can write - or at least... I think I can

I am a member on many other forums similar to this one, but this is the first one I have found where I felt confident enough to start such a thread.

I am the sort of person who conducts his own research and strikes hard when a potential opportunity is presented. Unfortunately, after having read a bunch of those "How To Make Money Online" guides, eBooks, threads etc, I wasn't able to find something to guide me through a whole process.

Last but not least, I am not here to buy another one of those guides... I have done enough of that. What I would really appreciate though, is that certain someone, who can "mentor" me - in a way. I know it's a long shot, but you never know...

Sounds like the perfect recipe for an SEO empire. Lots of domains + Lots of Content + Will to work way too much = Rich as ****. Just make sure to do your research, pick your niches well, and learn how to optimize a website first.

I do have all the pieces of the equation you posted, however, it's that last sentence that gives me the most trouble. I have done my research, made some blogs too, but they are doing pretty bad so far.

I really need someone to "show me the way" sort of speak.

I did take one course that offered some advice on how to optimize my sites, but when it came to showing you how to actually monetize them, they just opted for easy way out - Adsense. I know that if you have a site that's making money with Adsense, then you are missing out on potentially much higher payouts from affiliates and other sources. I just don't know how to do that yet..

Do you think that the best use of my articles is putting them on my sites? So far, I've created about 10 sites with 10 articles on each (100 articles total), and have only earned about $10 from Adsense. The way I see it, I could have just as easily sold those articles and make a good multiple of that. Then again, it still wouldn't be nearly close enough to what I am aiming for.

Open to any suggestions.. :-)

Let's assume that I was able to conduct proper keyword research and that I knew some basic rules about article optimization.. What would I do with these articles?

Upload them on blogs and put Adsense on them? Submit them to article directories with some links back to my sites? Maybe links to somewhere else? That's what I need to know..

Much Kudos my friend 10-15 articles a day!!!!!!!1 I stuggle to post 1 lol.

I would suggest you look to find a market first! Do your keyword research using google keyword tool! find a niche that has around 5000 searches per day.

Check on google search that your keyword phrase has less than 300,000 competing pages. And a good way to check competition will be to scrutinise title's on those results looking for the whole keyword phrase. If the whole search time isnt in all the titles then that would suggest lower competition.

If all is good and you have found a term ( keyword phrase) that satisfies the criteria start to look for a product that has already been created maybe on clickbank and get yourself a hoplink. If you cannot find a product maybe look to create your own. If your writing prowess is good it might only take you a couple of weeks to write a book course or whatever. It would add more perceived value if you could make an audio/ video program of your e-book! You can of course ooutsource some/ all of these tasks.

Choose a relevant domain and look to create a site with your call to action, a capture page would be the obvious choice with an offer relevant to your niche. From the call to action you could lead to a sales page ( copywriting crash course here) or if you have used someone else's product then direct to their sales page. If you have captured the prospects details you can look to create a better product and later market it or related products at a later point.

Build a blog ( wordpress is a great choice (self hosted )) and install it on the back of your domain in a directory called /blog. Get a decent theme and start to post content into it articles video etc based all around your keyword research! titles and tags!!!

Look to link your posts back to your site using anchor text ( highlight the chosen keyword phrase and insert link) Remember to use relevant keywords from your earlier keyword research! Google uses LSI (latent symantic indexing) so use words that google suggested in addition to the main phrases. ( the google wonder wheel may be of some help).

Remember to link out to other relevant authority sites from your blog, Google likes that and if your content is good you should start to see incoming links naturally. Its always good to read other blogs that google sees as relevant to your keyword phrase ( search google for target keyword phrase inserting blog before it) post relevant comments (warning - not spam) and you can leave your name and perhaps a short keyword phrase after it ex Mark - Dog Training. Obviously it will be up to the blog owner to decide whether or not he allows your comment so be relevant on the post and ADD VALUE. If he accepts you have a backlink!

note Wordpress in default has a no- follow attribute on comments. Do a search for do follow blogs where they have the do-follow plug in installed. either way it wont hurt you!

Your articles will be your stregnth though so keep posting your articles to high authority sites like ezinearticles.com (the daddy), and link back to your site from within the article body with your keyword phrase! You could always use a article posting service as well like isnare.com, uniquearticlewizard, submityourarticle etc. They are paid services but save you time! Remember to post your article to your blog first and look to post to article sites a few days 4-5 days later!

Finance pharm's and gambling is high competition industry, just check google adwords CPC and I can see why people try to build adsense around those target areas. $10 and upwards per click. maybe not the best areas to cut your teeth.

Lastly look to build relationships using forums (like this one) and social media. You will soon find some good people who will offer some good advice. In this day of email etc dont forget the phone sometimes a quick call can save you hours of looking around the internet for answers!

First of all, you say that you can only write 1 article per day, but your post shows otherwise. I see a quality article right there!! I almost feel sorry that you had to post it here, instead of your site, in order to help me. Thanks again for that!

I think the best way for me to start is using someone else's sales page. Can I put a link straight to someone's sale page in my author resource box at ezine?

Also, I've heard that the articles you submit to directories should be unique - at least up to a certain extent... Is that wrong?

I have already made some blogs targeting easy keywords, just as you described... The only thing is that they are just Wordpress blogs with only Adsense on them, so I doubt that I'll ever see any decent earnings from them. Is there anything I can do so that the time I put into making these doesn't go to waste?

Last question - Where can I find sales pages to promote? Through Clickbank?

To make AdSense work, I think one should go for the high paying words and even then I'm not sure if it would be worth it.

Like others said, with bit of keyword research and your output, there's a chance that you'll make a killing So write 2/3 of the articles and spend 1/3 doing product finding and keyword research.

I have signed up for all these sites and I guess I've found some products. I have done a fair bit of keyword research as well.. and I rank well for some of my sites. Overall, even though I think I've got the basic ideas down up to a certain mediocre extent, I am lacking on delivery..

I get some traffic... I have a few views on the articles that I have submitted to ezine, however, I have no real product to push..

My Adsense account has been active for about 6 days so far, and I have accumulated about $7 from 55 clicks and 1k impressions. Chances are, that if a decent sales page got that amount of impressions, I would have made at the very least 1 sale. A sale that could potentially bring $20 or more... Am I right?

That's what I need to find out.. How to promote a sales page instead of a blog.. I think I can create a decent sales page and even if I can't, I will at least try. As long as I see that I can get some visitors to it but no sales, I am open to paying someone to make it better too. It's just that I haven't done it before and thus some guidance would be of utmost importance.

I have used about 100 articles on my sites so far. I could have sold these for $5 each today - that's $500... I really don't see anything close to that amount coming in anytime soon from Adsense, so I believe it's safe to assume that I've done something wrong. Please help?

I would say it is a fair guess to say that if you can write and submit 10-15 articles a day then you can easily be well on your way to making serious money online. Submit your articles to the top article directories like ezinearticles, goarticles, articledashboard and even articlecity.

If you can write and submit 10 articles a day then it shouldn't take that long to see some results. Being able to do 10-15 articles a day would put you light years ahead of many marketers who think doing the work is too much.

You will have the power to send targeted traffic to any site you want whether it's yours or someone elses and make money doing so.

Don't stop writing and I bet you'll make it big. For article marketing to work you need to submit massively.

After you made your authors resource box to promote your product. Remember ezinearticles does not accept affiliate links so you need hosting and a domain so you can set up a php redirect to redirect your customers to your product. For example if you set up a domain name with godaddy or someone you would then go to your hosting account and create a folder name for that product. In that folder would be your php redirect which looks like this(without the asterisks):

header("Location: your-affiliate-link-here");
exit();

Just copy and paste the above into notepad, edit the link and save as index.php

This will allow you to redirect costomers to your link by setting up a php redirect instead of using an ugly affiliate link in your article.

No, this is not confusing at all. I know how to make a redirect, however, wouldn't it still be considered an affiliate link?

I thought that they checked the links by clicking on them themselves before approving the articles. Do they JUST LOOK at the link? So for example.. if I did as you said by redirecting mydomain.com to an affiliate sales page and then placing mydomain.com as the link in the resource box.. my article would get accepted and they would have no problem about it?

Yes as far as I know this is true. You have to use your own link with ezinearticles and it looks better than an affiliate link. If people see it is a clickbank product then they can buy it thru their own link and don't need you.
