New production creation validation

Hi,

I have developed a system that can help people remove blocks when they are setting goals and using affirmations. It also has application in other niche markets.

I think it is a good idea, but I have been reading up on marketing, and understand the need to market test first.

I can see two channels to market - as an add on to existing courses, and as a course in its own right.

My questions:

How do I test whether it would actually sell before I take time to write up the product?

Do I email existing list owners and get a register of pre-interest? Does this create copy cat issues?

And is there a legal way to put up a sales page, drive some traffic, then say words to the effect of "sorry its not built....will email you when it's done" on the payment page? - as a way of gauging pre-interest.

Thanks,
Alex

I don't thing it is a good start to send out a message like... coming soon. I would prefer to setup a blog and engage conversation with audience, there you can check if there is interest. But if you do the right market of course you can find audience interested.
If the product has good quality then it will grows.
