According to my google analytics, about a third of my website visitors are being referred to me from a website called:

buxclicking(dot)com

Does anyone know what this website is?

It's a PTC site. What does the link look like?

It appears to be a simple direct link. Google analytics shows it as just "/" so i take it it's a direct link.

I can't understand why someone would send me free traffic. The page the traffic is being sent to is a salespage with a clickbank product on it. But i would have imagined that in order to make a commission, it would have to be a hoplink. Unless the hoplink is hidden in the "/" . I don't know.

This is not something i'm familiar with.

Could be referer traffic. Some sites generate traffic to their sites by showing up in your stats as traffic referers when in fact they never did send a visitor, it was a script / robot that mimics a visitor.

they want to show in your stats so that YOU visit them

Wow. Thanks. I'd never have figured that out. It's annoying because it messes up my website stats. It makes it more difficult to determine the conversion rate of my salespage if alot of the traffic is fake .
