Articles : Creating the Perfect Storm.. Alexa would be a fitting name ;)

Hey Beautiful People,

As part of starting a nieche dating site im also creating an associated article section with articles about that nieche dating. My plan is to have 100 articles released over a one year period ( my sites working period before i access to continue or not) so 1 every 3 days. Im aiming for quality and interest buti want to ask how i would maximize the effectiveness of this. With the aim being converting article readers into more readers/visitors and more dating members. From what i have learnt here:

- Write Emotional, Usefull and relavant articles
- Dont be a cheap Keyword Crammer, forget SEO, it will come naturally
- Make it easy to share
- make it contravertial/viral

So my question:

-Is 100 articles a decent amount?

-My site will be multilingual, will it be worthwhile translating the articles? Added value?

- the lovely Miss/Mrs Smith talked about Syndicaiton, i didnt know about sites like eZine, anything else about making the most of articles that i havent heard about?

-links to really good threads about various article writing utilization

-the nieche is something i love, im a very decent writer when i want to write ( won a national level essay writing competition about emigration and homesickness, but maybe that doesnt make a good gossip writer?), i worry outsourcing the writing will give me something without passion and lacking depth of knowledge. But worry writing it myself is a waste of time since my hourly rate is say 3-5 times what a 6-8$ an article writer would get, so its more effecient to just pay them, and ive already got so much work to do for the site as it is, so should i write or have someoen else?

- Silly question but what is your recommended CMS? And say if it was wordpress how cani make the most of it? plugins etc

-is there a Mr.Smith? your nutela on strawberries Alexa! Thanks for all youve contributed!

Thanks Everyone! Would love to get your insight

Oh and when trying to find good topics in that nieche to write about, is there a technique you use?

Do you research Keywords and how?

Do you find for e.g top trending or most read/shared dating articles? And how do you find them!

    Thank YOU!!!!

Dude, you're in the Warrior Forum, of course many people will hold it against you.

Saying you're a writer and not taking time to correctly edit before you publish. Woh! That's like putting 'raw meat' or a bulls eye on your back to many people here.

But you still have time to follow the advice of laurencewins. The edit button is your friend.

Yes, translating the articles will give you additional value.

Now you know your first example of a product you could make.

Instead of writing 3 posts within a couple of minutes and apologising for your errors when you claim to be a good writer. you should go back and edit your first post and fix the errors and delete the other posts so that it's easier for people to actually understand what you're talking about.

    What does "released" mean?

Publishing articles just on your own site isn't really a traffic-generation plan at all: the only traffic that's ever going to bring you is a little, gradual, eventual, search-engine traffic (and as the saying goes, "Good luck monetizing that!").

100 articles is a huge amount of content!

That's about 3 years'-worth of content, to me. I'm a full-time article marketer and I write 2-3 articles per month (per niche, I mean), which is more than enough content for all the needs of my business.

What matters, with articles, isn't "how many you have". It's "where they're published". 10 good articles published in the places where the traffic you want to attract is already looking is enough to start a business. And that's worth more than 1,000 articles just published on your own site and in places (like article directories) in which anyone can publish, but aren't specifically relevant to the niche.

I don't know ... I certainly wouldn't want to go to the trouble of translating articles without being able to get them widely published in the places where the traffic I want to attract is already looking. You'd need a lot of research to assess publication-feasibility, before trying this, I think?!

I see that if you have visitors who speak another language to your site, there may also be some small additional value in having them there, but I'm far from enamored with the idea, to be honest.

If you're going to put your articles into Ezine Articles, make sure that they're "syndication quality" to start with. There's no other point in using it.

Here's a one-post overview of how article marketing works: http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...ml#post5035794

Posts #2 and #6 of this thread explain how article directories work, and how to use them (and post #2 contains a lot of links to other "article marketing threads"): http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...ml#post5068872

This post explains how to find people to publish your articles: http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...ml#post6575732

This post suggests "how to ask them": http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...ml#post7475055

This thread explains why it would be a big mistake to put "unique content" into an article directory: http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...marketing.html

If you can find a $6-$8 article writer whose work can successfully be used for article syndication for traffic-generation, pass their details on to me and I'll immediately employ them full-time. You won't find one. You need a Big Strategic Rethink to understand why you won't find one, and what kind of articles are needed, to use this as your business model.

    Especially in the dating niche!

Well, 100 articles are more than enough for the start. However, don't post them all at once. Publish at least three articles a week, optimize them for the search engines, and promote them online. Since your site will be multilingual, translate your content. Using WordPress as a CMS is definitely a good idea.

You don't need 100 articles. Begin with just a few marketed well. This is the essence of real article marketing. For a quick start, consider building up a portfolio by submitting articles to ezinearticles.com in addition to your website and marketing to relevant online/offline publications. This will expose yourself to like-minded publishers searching for engaging content in the dating niche.

Articles provide an overwhelming marketing leverage, especially in the most highly competitive niches, because of the typically characteristic wide availability of publications. It really does not take many articles at all to drive massive quantities of convertible traffic if your style meets the expectations of your targeted reading audience. And contrary to what you may have read from the misguided about article marketing, forget about SEO especially in this niche.
