Avoiding Aggravation With Wordpress 2.8 and Feedburner Feedsmith Plugin

I know that many of you on this forum use Feedburner with your Wordpress blogs. As many of you probably know, one of the best plugins to integrate your Feedburner account with your Wordpress blog is the Feedburner Feedsmith plugin. However, if you are using the newly released Wordpress 2.8, you are going to experience a problem if you try to install the Feedburner plugin. You will get a message that says something like "plugin does not have a valid header".

The fix to this problem is quite simple. Although it took me a few hours to research the fix. What you have to do is find the plugin directory for your
word press install. Find the Feedburner Feedsmith plugin folder. Underneath that folder there should be a folder named feedburner_feedsmith_2.xx. Go into that folder and move the feedburner_feedsmith_plugin.php file to the top level of the Feedburner Feedsmith plugin folder. After that, you can activate the plugin. It should work fine.

Hopefully, this will save some members a few hours of aggravation.
