Here is top 5 niche ideas for 2014 that I have researched.

Although these "classic" niches (such as healthcare, fashion, self-improvement and etc. are still profitable), this niche list is more comfortable to current 2014 trends.

Hope this helps you start something really profitable!

1. Mobile Apps consulting and development

2. Parallax Themes (Wordpress, Joomla, Concrete5 and etc.)

3. IT education (home course, node js, etc...)

4. Visual Content Creation (Promo Videos, Infographics and etc.)

5. Wearable Technology (smart watch, glasses ..)

Do you agree with my ideas ? Let's share your thoughts below.

Actually those are markets, not niches. A niche is a segment of a market.

A niche market is the subset of the market on which a specific product is focused. The market niche defines the product features aimed at satisfying specific market needs, as well as the price range, production quality and the demographics that is intended to impact. It is also a small market segment.

          Hello BizMath,
You don't have to do every niche market, just choose one or two niches you are comfortable with (your interest, know-how, ability... to solve customers' problem) to do first. Or break your market into smaller niche that you can handover it (ex: break general wordpress themes market into wordpress themes for shopping cart only).

The important thing before start with a niche, You must also determine whether the niche will be profitable for you and whether you can afford to enter that niche based on your current budget and resources. Niche profitability is based on two factors:
          - The niche's market has plenty of disposable income.
          - The niche is known to buy. In other words, the niche is willing to spend a fair share of disposable income on products or services that address needs.

          Hope this helps!

Those are more like broad markets than niches.

For example, #4 Visual Content Creation. There is a huge difference between video marketing production and infographic design. You could drill down into more markets let alone niches.

I would also say that none of those markets are new to 2014 or restricted to 2014.

I would also say that in September 2014 most businesses (cars, calendars, television, film, marketing) are working on 2015 by now.

If those are hot markets, you need to drill down in them to find the hot niches with high demand

When you say the top niches I think the most demand. For example, if I went to Ebay, Amazon or similar sites would I discover the subjects you mentioned some of their biggest sellers?

You'd find their top sellers covering the categories below year in and year out. Check it out.

For example, Niches, Sub-Niches and Micro-Niches
      within the following markets ...

      • Health
      • Money Making/Money Saving
      • Relationships,Dating, Sex
      • Cell Phones and Accessories
      • Fashion
      • Celebrity Gossip
      • Self-Improvement
      • Fear/Embarrassment
      • Electronics
      • Appearance (hair care, teeth, make-up etc.)
      • Home and Kitchen Appliances
      • Travel and Leisure
      • Toys, Games and Gaming
      • Music and music players
      • Office Supplies
      Etc.

If you would have said "5 Fast Growing Niche Ideas for 2014" or the "5 Top Tech Niches for 2014" that would have been more believable than saying "The Top Niche Ideas for 2014" that's a big promise and covers a lot of ground ... and niches!

Your niche ideas choices didn't do the best job of delivering on the thread's headline.

Making them, yeah definitely. I can't see promoting CPA app offers as being worthwhile.

Besides arguing over the semantics, yeah seems reasonable. I am wondering what kind of IT education you are referring to: Laypeople learning computer basics? Studying for certifications? or Competent people advancing there skill set?
