Hey guys I'm starting a new blog and I'm thinking about domain. I know many people brand now their name on the internet to find some jobs so I think making a domain with my name would be good to get known by people or make a new domain (not my real name) and a logo to get known on the internet and social networks..

Which is the best way? Use my name as domain name or logo+domain not my name?

I think a good way would be to make a new domain not my name and post articles and my BIO in contact page, also buy another domain with my name and post my CV and projects? Would this be a good Idea? (also I'd need to make one website in one language and one another same articles in english lang that could be a lot of work)

I think Branding our name is the new era to get known as freelancers on the internet..

    Hello warriors.
It depends on what kind of site you want to run.
If you want to use SEO to rank your blog, then it's helpful to use a SEO friendly domain, with the keyword so.
If your traffic is not based on Google, so, a brandable name is better...

    Thanks

Exactly, if your are confident that you'll get visibility, you can go for a catchy name... consider groupon for example, it had no SEO value, but now it does

I also agree with the guys above that if your goal is to rank your new domain via keywords, then a keyword rich domain would be a better way to go. There is some guy and articles out there saying that rich keyword domain now are not as good as they used to be, but in my opinion this is because of low quality content.

If you deliver good and unique content to your traffic and Big G with a keyword rich domain, that'll do the trick.

How active will you be on Facebook and Twitter and forums using your real name? If you are planning on being active and establishing yourself as an expert with your niche, then your own name is a good way to go.

If it was me I'd seriously consider using my name as the domain name. The reason for this is that it gives you a specific brand to work with right from the start and if successful you will be household name.

After way to many years of experience let me say this.it is EASIER to properly SEO a URL that DOES NOT have your target Keywords in it. Unless you really understand what you are doing.. you can only screw up with a URL that DOES have keywords in it.

A URL such as 3w's.myname.com/las-vegas-hotels is FAR better than 3w's.lasvegas.com/las-vegas-hotels

In todays world the later would be somewhat considered "Keyword Stuffing" ( not really but you get the idea. )

You are far better off with a brandable URL such as 3w's.yourname.com At the very least if your first attempt at millions is not so hot, you dont have to dump the domain name and get another, you can simply changes gears with the one you have.

It depends very much on what niche you are intending to pursue. If you want to sell "yourself" as a freelancer then maybe a domain with your name could be a good idea. But if you want to get ranked high on google you should take into consideration using a name that can be easily found and that has relevant keywords linked to it. Another thing that you will have to think about is how you want to promote yourself. If you choose your name as a brand then maybe on social media it would work better to get to be well known, But if you choose some other name for your brand than you should take into consideration some SEO techniques. If you are already a little bit famous you should go for using your name, if not, maybe creating a new catchy brand name it will prove to be a good idea.

If you're selling yourself, go for a persons name. If you're wanting to grow a website then pick something catchy. This video might be of some use for helping you with a name (it was posted in the social forum about a week ago)
