Hi Guys, I thought I would set you a challenge and hopefully give you some motivation. The challenge is, as the title suggests, to get an Amazon affiliate sale in 30 days. I know 30 days is a long time but that of course is the target and the challenge. If you do it - your reward is a FREE ACCESS for a year to Azon PLR power packs which is PLR content. To start the challenge off i will be doing a small case study and a basic site and posting here. The site is not going to start off as anything major and will be built from scratch and the aim is to show you how to get a sale or at the very least how to get ranked in the search engines. I will also be posting info on how i select a niche, what product i am promoting and how i am setting the site up. This challenge and the 30 days will start officially on January 19th 2015 - i will show you the niche i am going to build a site around, how i picked the niche, some of the searches and also the domain name. I will cover everything in this thread and of course if you have questions I will do my best to answer them. How To Get The Most Out Of the Challenge? As this is a challenge - the best way is to follow along and work on your own site - i will be giving you niche selection methods and you can do the same niche OR use the niche selection methods to pick another one. Look forward to starting the challenge and showing you how to get that important first sale! To Your Success, Chris Jones |

How The Challenge Will Work & Niche Selection Hey Guys, Monday, January 26th 2015 – the first day of the challenge. I am narrowing down on the niche and will post tomorrow but before I do and to start the challenge so you can follow along I wanted to give you a very basic, but effective niche selection method and also answer the question: “Who should follow the challenge?” Or another way of putting that questions is: “Who is the challenge FOR?” The challenge is quite simply to make some money with Amazon affiliate program in 30 days or less. I will set up a basic site and the aim is to start generating sales and traffic – or traffic and then sales if we are going to be precise. I have been working online for over a decade and make no CRAZY income claims. Even now, whether it is Amazon or Clickbank there are NO GUARANTEES in terms of sales when you pick a niche, some niches you would not think would make any money have been my best earners and vice-versa some that you think will be winners bite the dust. The simple way to insure success is to KEEP GOING and when you get a site that makes sales – maximise it. We will talk more about that later- but for now, you should follow this challenge if you want to see how to set up a site that is SEO’ed correctly, or at least how I do it and have been for years. I hope you get something from this challenge and if you follow through you have a very good chance of getting that first sale. We will be using SEO primarily – and although this is not the ONLY way you can promote an Amazon site – when you are starting out it is effective to test niches and then once you start making some commissions you can build the sites up – add in email marketing, price comparison etc… OK, so here is a simple way I will be picking a niche. To start with and because we are using SEO – we are going for RED HOT products to start the site. We will be using good keywords a little later but to get it ranked and get a trickle of very targeted traffic we start with hot products. I hop over to Amazon.com and take a look at the categories on the left: Once I have picked one – on the left I narrow down as much as I can. So Sports and Outdoors > Hunting and Fishing > Air Guns > Air Rifles Then I take a look at the amount of reviews the products are getting and make sure it is ranked with New and Best Selling on the right: Remember this is just an example. You want to make sure that you have a REALLY hot product. Looking at the actual product listing if you scroll down you will see the reviews on the bottom and the recent ones on the right. You are looking for loads of really recent reviews as this means it is selling really well. You then back up the searches with the Google Adwords keyword tool or any tool you like and check competition – more on that in a few days. I hope this makes sense and feel free to ask any questions. I will post my chosen niche tomorrow. Glad to have you with me! To Your Success, Chris Jones |

The Niche I Have Picked And How The Site Will Work... Hey Guys, I have picked a niche for this 30 day challenge. The niche is: “Portable Bluetooth Speakers” Although this is a fairly competitive niche – as I mentioned in the last post you can save yourself loads of trouble and get all the juicy keywords by narrowing right down into a niche. So I will be starting with the HOT product names – there are a few here that look good: So the next thing I will be doing is selecting a domain name and getting a site set up – I will also show you the theme I use and the plugins I use as well as the site layout. I will start with the product reviews and you will see how to write them, or at least how I do it and then once the site starts getting traffic trickling in, and hopefully some sales as well I will expand and start targeting some longtail phrases like “Bluetooth speaker for the garden” etc… I will also show you how I SEO the site and use social media to give it a boost. So we are clear, when you are SEO’ing a site OR another way of putting it – if you are starting off with SEO there are plenty of other ways to make money with a site. Listbuilding, paid ads, banner ads etc… But the pros of this methods are FINDING the good niches at no cost and THEN you can expand them. Hope you enjoy it and will post again tomorrow with the domain name, To Your Success, Chris Jones P.S I will also add more on WHY I picked this niche but in short – narrowed right down and these are getting loads of really good reviews so it means they are selling. |

Thanks for this thread, Chris! I've been interested in getting into Amazon Affiliate marketing, so your guide/contest is much appreciated. In your experience, is it a bad idea to stick with a single product? |

Not a bad idea at all - but i tend to start when approaching a niche to target a few products in the same niche to see what is selling. If you get a product that really takes off though a site promoting that one product works well. Thanks, hope you enjoy it, Just so we are clear though, the site i am setting up may or may not make sales. Of course I am gunning for sales but as i explain in my Kickstart courses you should aim to set up 5 - 10 sites in different niches and work really hard until you get a winner. THEN, you expand on the winner. What you will get from this followalong is a look at how i set up sites to test niches and you are welcome to do the same. Thanks for following and hope you enjoy it, All the best, Chris Jones | |

Hey Guys, It has been a long time but to start 2016 with a bang I am thinking of restarting this thread. Funny thing is that as I have designed a ton of courses since I started this I have ranked loads of sites but thinking of restarting it. Let me know if you would still be interested in a followthrough? All the best, Chris Jones |
