Just a couple of questions. Can we use software we already own? Can we reinvest money we might make during the first days to promote our project? (for example if during the first couple of weeks I make a few bucks can I use those to post a WSO?) |

2. You can reinvest any money made however you like. For example, if you make $60 in the first 3 weeks using the free methods, you can reinvest that in a WSO.

My strategy is to try and quickly knock out a couple of fiverr jobs which should be fair since I am just starting on it. Then roll that money into super cheap hosting for a super niched website. I'll be create 3 limited edition shirts themed around zombies to help promote the new site, zombie themed, as well as a gaming setting created from only the input of t-shirt purchasers. Ultimately the New website will contain affiliate links to zombie themed products and advertising. If I make any money specifically within the 30 days it will definitely be with the pre-orders so we'll see how it goes. It will be hit or miss since I am banking on those shirt pre-orders we'll see how it goes, I'll keep posting progress. |

I'll post resources during the challenge, but yes, there is a free option for Getresponse. (Up to 100 people on your list, I believe.) There are some other free options that I'm looking into.

Good luck with the challenge. Although at the end of the day, the working your putting in is loss of earnings perhaps from something else. I believe you will be sucessful too. |

BTW - there are two ways you can approach this challenge: 1. Offering a service If you simply want to make money in the next 30 days and look short-term, you're more than welcome to do that. Offering a service is one of the easiest ways to make money up front. 2. Income stream/building a business This is the model I'm going to be using. I'll be setting up an income stream, with a product for sale. Either way is fine. It just depends on if you want to focus long term or short term. |

I know the service business will bring upfront some money quickly but again not easy and it is not that much and as you correctly said it is really a short time, which I think is not worth. Sometime it will take a lot of time and effort than you thought. Otherwise we have to choose the services very intelligently which can provided within no time or less than an hour or so. Rather I like to go for your option number 2( Income stream/building a business). It is sometimes little slow but it is perfect and long term and you can repeat it again and again to increase your income. Good Luck to All

I think the benefit that people could gain from services, or even selling off old things as a way to infuse your long term business plans with some extra money. I know as soon as I get enough cash for a couple things like a domain name and a couple fiverr gigs to help me with promotion. Another thing I think is important is that I am focusing on a primary first project that probably wont make as much as upcoming project but is something I love. It can be very frustrating trying to make a buck online and its easy to give up when your doing things that are just not fun to you, but if you have one pet project that your passionate about anchoring you it makes things easier. |

When I first started making money online, I provided a service. I am a writer, and I made good money as a writer. But if you start down the service route, you are trading hours for dollars (just like a job). I want this challenge to help people get started down the road to passive income.

This is going to be a great thread to keep an eye on. Yes providing service is the easiest route but to build passive income in 30 days without money upfront would be challenging, I'm very curious. Thanks to Shay who started the challenge and best of luck to everyone who took it, thread subscribed |

I accept the challenge! I'll keep things simple for the challenge. I'll find an RAPbank product to promote, do some keyword research, and put videos up on YouTube promoting the affiliate link. I'll also use a few tricks to get those videos ranking quickly. As far as the prize and what determines the winner, what about whoever earns the most? For this challenge the requirements are 1) no money and 2) can't use your list/ hosting/etc. So we're all starting out even. Just my thought! |

| I Had a couple of ideas for this challenge and went through an elimination process, in the end there were two ideas I could not choose between so I decided to do both. This morning I managed to persuade a friend who has a design business to give me two hosting accounts for 1 year each in exchange for me helping her relocate at the end of September. So hosting is sorted. I registered 2 domains with .co.za that way I have 90 days to pay for the domains. Project 1: PLR I want to start a referral based eBook club that gives members 50 new PLR eBooks a month for a member fee and add to that a 2 level deep referral program where as soon as a member has 3 people that joined, their membership is covered and their income will grow continually on autopilot. Project 2: JV As soon as project 1 brings in enough to cover the fee, I am going to upgrade my Warrior account and post my JV invitation. Going forward, today and tomorrow I will be building my site. As this is a learning experience, I will do this using WP rather than Drupal. I have never before worked with WP. |
