Goal=Success Starting Over after Failing!
Share on:
fb share twitter share gplus share more share

I started out in early 2000's with several online businesses. Even some decent WSO's. I was up to 6k to 10k a month but after Google algorithms Panda/Penguin as well with near death experience with double Pneumonia. I deleted my list of 3000 and sold off several of my web properties.

I gave up...

Went back to becoming a 9-5 guy as a Senior Information Security Engineer over a large healthcare environment.

After further thought and having a entrepreneur mindset, I quickly became flustered fighting between liabilities and assets. My assets were gone... Well 2014, is almost over and I am working on becoming 40 years old. I am coming back to pick up what I emotionally left.

My Goals
  • Build a list of engaging subscribers in my niche!
  • Replace my 9-5 income and tripling it to 10k a month.
  • I want to blog about my progress so I can keep motivated and also self accountability.

What I have to work with:
  • Literally I have no money in my pocket if anything it will be less that $100.00.
  • Still have a dedicated server that I am paying for with some domains and old info products I had created.
  • Using my knowledge of traffic building ,SEO,PPC and blogging. PPC ads will be not in the equation unless I scale up profit. Right now I am going to have to work off an affiliate marketing and then scale into making my own product or buying wholesale to sell online.

This is all I have is my brain and a collection of "Lessons Learned".

Starting over after failing seems to be one of the biggest challenges we all face.

How is it going for you?

So far so good and I have some old products I shelved and trying to revamp. Collecting all my old tools and installing them again. Just fired up a new Aweber account. (Can't believe I deleted my list of 7000) lol

It takes work nothing will be overnight. The goal is to start the "grunt" work and building a list. The most important thing. Another thing is the SEO game has changed and now things need to be built out more carefully to protect from Google Slaps.

Social Signals is another metric that I am getting built. A lot of people think you will push the easy button and make a ton. It doesn't happen with out the ground work being laid first.

Hi Shane - I'm putting together a new CROWDFUNDING campaign and I'm looking for an advertising / marketing professional to provide traffic on a rev-share basis. I've got _everything_ needed to make this project successful, including a great new product, presentation, platform, perks etc., and the most important thing of all, tons of successful experience.

I'm looking for a seasoned, successful marketing expert who can reach large audiences and send traffic to the campaign. My nearest competitor just raised $172,000 with a similar product.

If interested in discussing please get in touch!

Wow this is exciting. It has been awhile since I posted. Actually, drilled more into a InfoSec niche lately and had some deals coming in but I am still in the self employed working for someone mode.

I did create 2 pieces of software for Wordpress and was going to place them on the Wordpress.com plugin site to leverage traffic and use Reciprocity of giving it away free and use upsells to unlock more features.

So far I made from nothing about 2000.00 from affiliate sells with Jeff Johnson which I rolled over into software development. Made 24 bucks in AdSense =(

I stayed off of Facebook and Warrior Forum for several months now. That may have let me miss the boat on Skystar.

So I will update how the software works out.

Hi Shane, as my profile says, I'm a crowdfunding specialist. I have a new campaign in mind and would love to talk with you about it if you have the marketing expertise to reach large, generalized audiences. Please send me a PM or an email to:
