I haven't posted for a while because my work as a freelance writer and copywriter has kept me very busy. I've also decided to delve into B2B affiliate marketing on the side, but am still working on the basics (the very basics; in other words, I just now purchased a domain name and set up hosting). But I do know that I will have a lot of content to share since I research/write in the B2B field for a living.

For those of you doing your own writing, I just came across some excellent web writing tips. These were on the epa.gov site but they can really apply to all types of web writing.
Key points:

- If you think you're ready to publish your page, remove at least 50% of the words.
- Make it immediately clear why (or for whom) the page exists.
- Make it scannable -- Area Headings and links should be visually distinct and meaningful.
- Write in plain, direct language - use
Ok so this is my first post
so I'm just a bit nervous but I after spending the week reading whatever opinions I came across regarding Google's changes, I have to add my two dollars worth (inflation, you know).
I admit that, as a writer, I freaked out a bit when I first heard about the changes because I wondered if this would affect the amount of articles IMers would be purchasing. But then I realized this is fantastic news for writers--especially those who are already accustomed...
