Here's how I did:
I built a relationship over the phone with a complete stranger over the course of the last 3 weeks, speaking about once a week. Anyway I first offered him a price of $3000 for 4 autoresponders at $1200 12 months maintenance.

Then a week later he called me back in regards to pricing and got me down to $2500 + $600 for 12 months maintenance.

He was interested but said he's going to be getting new websites made soon so he can't do it right now. Maybe...

So now I've cold called about 40 people and I've finally gotten someone to meet with me tomorrow to discuss this further.

I know this ain't a sale just yet, but I'm pretty stoked nonetheless!

NEVER, NEVER, NEVER GIVE UP.

so I failed, I didn't make $10,000. In fact, I didn't even make $1 in 6 days.

However, here's what I have done:

- Got a business plan down so I know what I'm doing and I can treat this as a serious business.
- Got all the foundations I need down to achieve success. All I need to do now is 2 things: 1. collect leads; 2. follow up leads.
If I do these 2 things, there is no doubt I will get clients.

To get clients, I need to improve:

DAY 5 UPDATE:

- Cleaned up my website a bit at Double Your Profits and added a few widgets like an opt-in form, twitter status and skype status.
- posted my site on digg, craigslist, AUS version of craigslist (gumtree). So far they've had no effect.

Here's what I've got to do today:
- get 30 leads of people that are using PPC without an autoresponder
- get 20 leads from businesses advertising in the local newspaper

DAY 4: quick update

I begun searching 'business consultants' and 'success coach' on Google hoping to find PPC advertisers without autoresponders, but pretty much everyone had one already.
Therefore I put making a list of new leads on hold and decided to call the 10 personal trainers I had already sent a letter to last week but none responded to.

So I did 6 calls (4 people didn't pick up - will call later):
- 5 no's.
- 1 maybe down the line.
