I haven't been reading those kind of threads. I assumed they were a marketing ploy. I figure that when most people give up that they don't announce it to the world; they just give up.

Over the years, I have seen so many threads entitled...

If you are in the middle of some sort of promotion, wait until it is over to change the dns. I moved a site last week. It was a large site, about 700mb. It took me several days to get all the files moved. While I was waiting for the dns to re-propagate, I sent out a special offer to my list. This was a mistake. I even closed myself up in my room and did some cold calling. Anyhow, I wasted much time and money on a scheme that quickly lost it's steam because right afterwards, the government started allowing bi-weekly...

I use business cards every day. Give them to every customer or prospect. They really help in every way. But, no need to put something funny or quippy on them. People just like to be able to contact you. It is better than tearing off a piece of a tow sack and looking for a pencil in the truck.

Years ago, folks used to give out "calling cards". These were little cards with just the giver's name on them. Of course, there was no telephone numbers because there were no...
