That's right: I am loving local business referrals.
Here's what happened:
A couple years ago I invested time and money in a different offline market, completely away from my usual methods and markets.
Customers really enjoyed my company efforts and as expected I created some strong connections in there.

This week had another contact to deliver SEO services to a Portuguese company. They want to go up to Top 5 for major keywords (travel related) but right now they are nowhere to be seen in Google serp's.
I even wrote about it in my personal blog on this post about SEO Prices, cause people in Portugal (and probably everywhere!) always try to choose low cost options.

Yep, happens to all of us at least one time.
For me it's the second time a #1 site goes bezerk and MIA in Google's serps.
Again, this is a very authority site (well, it was), often updated - at least twice a week, good relation with visitors - lot's of genuine comments, solid whitehat SEO - people did the most part promoting it everywhere...
Basically, it was a "perfect" site in the eyes of Google. At least so I think.
Now it's gone...

Hi all
Today did a post in my blog about "leads" trying to explain them to my visitors. Over here, Portugal, a lot of business owners don't understand the power of the internet to bring them new leads everyday.
Some of them still believe all they need is a website and leads will come. They don't think about convertions, sales funnel, customer management after a sale, etc etc.
Hard work over here, *fighting* some issues with local business owners...

Well, after some years testing search engine optimization methods and ranking sites into Google's top 10 for interesting keywords, and building credibility, this is it:
Just launched Seo Portugal - a Portuguese SEO Company targeted to all Portuguese spoken countries as Portugal, Brasil, Angola, Cabo Verde, and of course, the Portuguese community around the world.
Hopefully the Portuguese market is now mature enough to understand what a good SEO campaign can do for...
