There is no "straight up squeeze page/blog post" that works most effectively.

There are tested and tried squeeze pages that work better than others. But you have to test your own to find the true winner.

A good e-mail campaign is one that makes more money than that which you are spending. Period. It can be improved for more profits. But profits is all that matters.

You could use WSO Pro service, E-Junkie or just mail the product if size is right for email. You can also use JVzoo service. I think it's great option because if you promote your product through them you will get special flat rate discount to make WSO on this forum. Besides they have affiliates which may help you sell a lot more.

There is software you could use as well but it's more expensive and not necessary.
