Hello;

Early 2010, I dove into several internet marketing projects. My initial main project was the creation and marketing of a Forum. The plan was not only to create and market the forum, but to use it as a tool to create a mailing list that we could market to. The Forum (Willys Jeep) has been up and running for about 9 months now.

While we got a nice start and did attract some attention from my initial marketing efforts, the site did not grow as expected.

Marketing Update: Traffic Sources

For the last couple weeks I have been putting almost all of my marketing efforts into getting a new forum ready and launching it. It isn't a Internet Marketing related forum, it is about Jeeps. However, promoting it was all about putting my Internet Marketing skills to use.

Due to our programmer being unable to complete the code to implement the proper design on time, we didn't promote the site as much as we otherwise would have.

1. You don't believe you can succeed. For many people the income level that most Internet Marketers talk about is so far beyond anything your familiar or comfortable with that you can't even grasp it. For most people, the largest thing they will ever buy is a $150,000 home. There are internet marketers telling you they can make that much in a month. It all seems to simple the day you start. Find a niche, make a web site, and droves of people line up to buy your product or use your site. You make a site or two, spruce them up, there decent, but nothing too out of the ordinary. You write a couple new posts / articles a week, and they get indexed, you get some traffic, but again, not a lot. Gets a little discouraging, but I think there is a lot of hope.
