Content is the king of the internet. People have been saying that for a long time. Pretty much they have been saying it since most of the really easy, breezy ways of ranking websites were eradicated.
Those ideas like directory generator, and markoving content, ideas that really deserved to die, and not a moment too soon.

I was reading a couple of posts by my online friends and found some ideas that just bugged the snot out of me.
I personally think that everyone has the right to market as they see fit. Some tactics that some people use, work for them, but I sure don't want to do.

For some reason, I have been worried about sending emails to people on my lists. Not so much the non-IM lists, I send those folks emails every day. I get great click through rates (30-40 percent) and people sending me thank you notes.
But in IM, I have been hesitant about sending them out. Lately, with my wife's condition, it has been a little difficult to think about marketing, but she's better now, so that is a very good thing.

One of the things that is nice about the things we learn in interent marketing is that many of the ideas can be used in markets outside of the MMO niche.
I recently participated in a joint venture and wrote up a page about on my site. It has been so far an interesting experience and the guy who ran it did an outstanding job at making sure it was successful for all the folks involved.

Spent some time yesterday redoing part of my own site

I had noticed just recently that something was really messed up with the display.
The page itself was OK, but a scroll bar had appeared down at the bottom. Now I really dislike those things, because I don't have a wide screen monitor, so I was kind of unhappy that it had showed up.
I got hold of my tech support people and put in a post in the Flexsqueeze forum, and still could...
