The World Cup is currently taking place. It occurs only once every four years and is a massive global event. The finals pit Germany versus Argentina.

Needless to say, World Cup items, especially those involving a country like Germany, are huge sellers right now.

An issue I see over and over is someone wants to make money now and they sign a contract as a contractor without worrying about the terms. This could be for marketing, SEO, writing, website building, etc. Just about anything.

Later, the contract ends and the person or business on the other end of the contract sends a reminder of the noncompete preventing work in an industry or with certain clients for a year. Sometimes, many years.

Suddenly, the business comes to a halt....

A forum member sent me a private message asking if they could claim a trademark on their logo for a physical product they are selling on Amazon, even if they have not registered the trademark.
