If you participate in any affiliate program you will be given a link by the program-owner this link is your affiliate I/D which when click will bring them to the program landing page to promote their product/service and for you to earn a commission...I know you this...but the link is long and cumbersome...but more importantly anyone who have a payment gateway similar to the program-owner can hijack your link and put theirs so you are deprived of making a profit. Try Google keyword such as redirect, linkcloaking and you may get some more info' ...best regards
