I am just coming back to the forum now.

My life was turned upside down for a few months by criminal activity in the neighborhood, done by some very violent and very dishonest people.

During the turmoil I was not able to get at my computer or business records on a regular basis because the path to my office was through a virtual war zone. Unfortunately this included my online passwords.

Here's my advice, based on writing code since 1985 or so, for people who want to learn programming. There was a thread about it and I figured I should save my advice in case others would like to get started.
