I started over 2 years ago. about 2 years and 5 months ago.
The mistake i made back then was trying to do all the work myself.
I started with 10 sites. It took me about 6 months to get those 10 sites done. Then i decided to set a target per day/week/month. Rougle 1 site a week. To do this i'd need more people. I didn't want to have a staff so i hired out the writing work. That was the thing slowing me down.
I could do the keyword research and design myself. I made about 1 site a week and keep adding.
I also used people to build back links. But now i have tools to do that.
my advice is to not try it all on your own. You'll never get there. If i was starting from nothing today I'd outsource all the long work like back linking and writing. I'd try get my 100 sites done within 2 months and slowly build back links. In 3-5 months you could/should be earning $100+/day. But you'll need over 100 sites for that.
