Interestingly, the term "submitting a press release" reports 8,000 global searches a month and fetches $4/click from Google, yet submittingapressrelease.com was available. I snatched it up. This is not unusual for me. I've learned that doing keyword research on high CTR phrases very often yields good available domain names.

One of the problems of having a popular, 12-year-old site is that making even modest changes to the site can be a major project. If we change to a more logical directory structure for future press releases, do we redirect from the old ones? And replicating to eSnipe's multiple geographic sites is always a little risky and time-consuming. Our practices are not as automated as they should be--but by hosting ourselves we weren't hit by the Amazon outage either.

I've been taking Jason Fladlien's incredible ProductEClass. He shows how to churn out products in record time. He is not a perfectionist. I have a number of products by him that all appear in the PDF viewer as "Ebook template". It's annoying, but they're all excellent. Having completed the LandingPageInAnHour.com product, have decided to promote it methodically and blog each step here.
  • Filled out the Add Your URL to Google, which would appear to add it to the Google index, though the page is careful to say that may not happen. Does this mean that's a human-moderated process? More likely the first step is a heuristic machine check for, I dunno, child porn or terrorist literature.

Signed up for Jason Fladlien's ProductEClass, which shows how to dash products out in 3 hours or so. I failed. I spent closer to 13, but it beats the 30 days my first one took. Mine's on how to create a sales page, aka landing page in the non-IM world. See it at Landing Page in an Hour and you are more than welcome to bag on the copy, which I cranked out perhaps a bit too briskly. Still, the product is up and running just a week after his first (amazing) free webinar. I'm jazzed!
