YouTube takes into account lots of different factors when it ranks videos and one of the important factors is the number of times the video has been viewed.

Of course, since YouTube is owned by Google, it's not quite as simple as that. So you can't just go out and buy a bunch of views from Fiverr and hope that you can fool YouTube into thinking you're more popular than you really are.

In fact, that's a good way to get your video (or even your whole account) deleted....

Affiliate websites are a quick way to get into internet marketing:
  • No products to create
  • No payment processors to deal with
  • No customers to deal with - the site you're promoting handles deliveries, questions and returns
  • Available in almost any niche - if Amazon stock a range, there's a demand (although the commissions on Amazon are low per sale)

Free offers are the usual way that internet marketers (and others) get people interested in them.

This happens in the real world as well as the online world - buy one get one free offers in supermarkets, tasters, samples, that kind of thing.

Online it's even easier as the cost of offering something free is close to zero.
