It boggles me why people are constantly asking for more world peace, more happiness and an end to prosperity. There is absolute abundance for all of these things out there. People are just asking for the wrong things. Example: You're driving along, you've got three screaming kids in the back of the car and you start praying for patience. "Dear God please give me patience..." - You know how it goes - we ask for more of what we don't think we have. I think this is wrong thinking. Let me share a thought I had one day, then put into action, and the positive results that occurred... I was driving along one day and some guy cut me off with his car - and I swore at him and said out loud please give me more patience... Well a buddy was riding with me and said - "Don't do that. Don't ask for more patience - you've already been given an abundance of patience - you've just got to use it." This really hit home for me at that moment, and it gave me a thought that whenever something "bad" would happen in my life I would give thanks for it. I did this because what I know is... I don't know. That's right - I don't know. What if that guy cutting me off was just someone sending me a message to pay more attention to my driving to potentially prevent me from getting into a serious accident. The truth is I don't know. What if every little good and bad thing in our life that happens is just some reminder or test to see if we are ready to handle more in our life? So here's an experiment you can try. Whenever something good happens - say out loud - "Thanks for that and I'm ready for more". AND... Whenever something bad happens say out loud - "Thanks for that lesson to help me grow". Thanksgiving 365 is about practicing Thanksgiving - EVERYDAY with EVERY THING that happens in our life good or bad. Don't just give thanks once every November - try it out EVERYDAY. I think if you start applying what I call "Thanksgiving 365" to your life... you will prove to the universal source of abundance that you're ready to receive more abundance in your life. Try it and see what happens. Steve |

Hi there GoalPower, You have some interesting thoughts here. I agree that we can put whatever we want into the things that happen to us. So i think if we are going to give something a thought it might as well be a positive one. I think everything goes to the place for which it was intended. So a good thought must go to a good place. Better to have good thoughts and keep visiting good places ! It's got to be a happier day for that. I like your article. Tim |
