Hi Everyone,
I've been posting a lot on my blog lately about ridding yourself from self-limiting beliefs, which all has to do with manifesting your desires quickly, and effectively. This has sort of been my personal "topic of interest" lately, and I even released an eCourse covering the steps needed to manifest your desires the right way. Anyway, I fully believe that the only way to really get the Law of Attraction to get to work in your life, is after you do all the "mind actions" such as visualizing, giving yourself positive affirmations, etc. is to actually TAKE ACTION... However, sometimes action is difficult to take, and many times we know the course of action we need to take but often lack the courage it takes to go the "next level" because of fears, social conditioning, etc. I just finished posting a lengthy article on my blog titled "The Courage to Take Action" that addresses all the issues of taking the RIGHT actions, even when they are hard. I think every member of this forum would benefit from reading it... you have nothing to lose, right? After-all, the Law of Attraction is about being receptive to not only courses of action, but the information that could potentially make you open to them :-) Please read it here: developminds.com/blog/personal-development/the-courage-to-take-action/ Please give me some feedback, and post comments and/or email the post to your friends/family if you enjoy it. Also... back to my original question... What does it mean to YOU personally, to take action courageously? |

To take action courageously - To go against your fears, like swimming against the tide... yo do something that everyone says is impossible... to do what is right, no matter how dire the consequences.
GREAT THREAD! |

To know the truth and to act and speak truthfully, never to shrink from doing it, never to be swayed by some personal gain.

Just like all of life it is a balance. We all have a measurement of action and courage that we must keep in check with caution and humility.

To take action courageously means to me to be free, to be bold, to be adventurous; to have the strength to challenge yourself, to set high goals and see only what positive results might come of it.

For me it also means freedom, for me and my family, to spend more quality time together.

Awesome takes on your personal definitions of courage! Now, let me ask you... Does anyone have any personal examples of how they applied "courage" to their own lives?

Risk is very relative to our experience as Eleanor Roosevelt said. After awhile it really become no big deal and simply a part of doing business. We make up all the pressure that we put on ourselves. Since it’s all an illusion anyway – just go for it. The fearful thought carries much more weight than the possibility of the fear actualizing.

hey! Great stuff!
I was actually listenting to some material recently about inner game (I was in a bad place). There was an incredibly bright speaker by the name of Dr. Paul. Here is my understanding of courage now: Courage is not just taking action. It's doing what you think is right. When we are feeling anxious there are 3 paths we can take. We can be passive and just act on impulse. We can be destructive and sit around complain and worry in a negative way just adding more wood to the fire or you can be courageous. Being courageous is not always easy. The outcome, however, does not matter be it positive or negative. When you do courage you will always grow and build more self esteem and confidence. Courage for me is doing the right thing. I often do it without thinking. I learn and grow everytime. |
