This is such an amazing post - thank you - as a newbie I have been flooded with offers for the "next big thing" namely converting internet skills to offline customers. Having all of the requirements you have laid out will make a huge difference to a person's success or otherwise in this I am sure.

Hi Robert,

Nice step by step business start up. I like that you stressed having some decent IM skills before jumping into offline & the tax issue is often over looked...

Take action!! That's the important part. Whether it's talking to local business owners direct, cold calling, mailing your first 100 intro letters, emailing potential clients.....what ever floats your boat...Do it, then follow up on it.

Create a business & treat it as a business!! Not as a way to make $100 by the weekend...take it serious, go through the learning curve, then when your ready....get out there & take action!

Thanks for taking the time to lay this all out Robert, it's going to help out a lot of warriors.

Great Advice Robert,

Like Ken said, I like how you have actually talked about the business of tax and registering a real business bank account. Many overlook this and it is crucial in my opinion. Not just to make your business look more professional but to make this REAL!

It is easy to push to the side when you have half heartedly setup! If you fully setup your business like you mention, its taken much more seriously because its real! ; )

Thanks for the kind words. I will be adding a little more 2morrow, but felt it was imperative to get this up so the newbies and seasoned vets would get a good understanding. I can't believe how many people i get email from, who havent even covered the basics.

Dave Lakahni has a few really good persuanion books, and chet holms has a great
book on creating a slamming sales machine. I believe readers are money makers.

You hit the nail on the head. This is the first step to making the business real,
getting the plans in place and the checking. Btw, i heard the product you put

Robert, what is the OfflineGoldBlueprint? Is this the same thing as Maria's mindmap? I have seen you reference it a few times and wanted to be certain. BTW, this is a great post!

In terms of books, I highly recommend Book Yourself Solid by Michael Port and How to Sell When Nobody's Buying by Dave Lekhani. Good stuff!

thanks for the kind words, The OfflineGoldblueprint is a way advanced version, a way to slow roll business owners into the big picture. I will keep you posted on that one.

First things First. Lets visit your existing business model and decide whether it is WORKING or not. More importantly, we need to find out why our marketing may not be working and identify the obstacles, challenges and issues that may be holding you back and preventing you from achieving the results you want from your marketing.

STEP 1. WHY - WORK OUT WHAT'S WRONG
STEP 2. WHAT - WRITE THE PLAN
STEP 3. HOW - DECIDE ON THE MARKETING TACTICS THAT WILL WORK
