Warriors from recent posts and threads it seems that everyone is excited, scared, jumpy, or angry. I was once like you putting in the hours 10 a day telling myself the more i put the more money ill make.
Unfortunately that applies only to lawyers ![]() What had happened to me was that i would put in 10 hours a day on weekends and 5 on school days. 5 hours on a school day is 13hours of total work nonstop. I made decent cash more then i would make working at the nearest fast food chain but my grades were slipping and i felt more moody. Reminds you of yourself yet? I went into some meditation after a long long frustrating day when i had some paypal disputes to deal with. I turned off all electronics cellphones, computers, tv, anything that blinked flashed or made a noise i shut off. Complete solitude. Soon after i felt myself calming down and feeling at "peace" you can say. And im serious about this As SOON and i mean RIGHT AFTER i opened my eyes ideas came flooding in. Of course most of it was same methods but i began to see small points i could improve on or make better. Then i read a book.... even while i was reading a book i would have ideas on how to implement an idea into my methods. A single sentence in a book would trigger more ideas to come in. Currently i am happy to say that im playing sports and playing games while putting in about 2-3 hours into my internet marketing. And guess what? Those ideas that came to me increased my pay 2-3x. So calm down and you just might have the next million dollar idea. If you are reading this when you are done do the steps below immediately. 1. TUrn off all electronics 2. Go into a room where noone can bother you 3. close your eyes and empty your mind basically ignore everything , dont think about tommorow dont even think about today just let everything go 4. Open your eyes and take a walk around anywhere - this is when the ideas should start hammering you whenever you see anything. 5. Then read a book or play a game have fun for the next hour. Ideas will keep triggering from keywords or looking at something. 6. If you had any idea write it down immediatly so you dont forget. 7. Now read your idea book and you will find some awesome ideas ![]() I hope my thread will help some people to have a more enjoyable lifestyle while making the cash. |

I am glad to hear that this technique worked well for you. It is true that these days many suffer from severe information overload and overwork. The wealth of information that surrounds us can be a tremendous blessing, but can also be a terrible curse if not managed properly. In a long-term strategy, it is always important to be balanced in our growth approach. I like what you mentioned about exercise and sports as opposed to 13-15 hours of intense Internet Marketing. I have nothing against those who do that, but in my opinion, in the long run, you end up enslaving yourself in yet another rut! Thanks for reminding us to remain serene, sober and balanced! Yes... great thread!
I can agree from my own experience--spending hours and hours at the computer makes you exhausted mentally and almost nothing good comes out of it. That's why we must have a plan, some kind of order... goals that we need to accomplish on a given day. We need to relax and empty our minds at some point--that will make things a lot better! Dagmar |

Thanks, thats some very good advices. Many people in this business forget about relaxing and calming down to let the brain rest. I guess my problem is that I have 100 ideas but not enough time.

I am so curious about this thread when I read the title. I'm glad I opened and read this. This is a way of clearing things up and let nature take its course. Ideas would really come if we clear our minds and try to relax. Having time to enjoy also is essential to avoid stress from work. Making money should be an enjoyable act.

What you say is a good idea indeed. Not seeing the forest for the trees is a common problem.
Personally I find a hard/slow pattern most effective. The hard is when going strong with a specific campaign, the slow is taking it easy/having a trip away or whatever before starting a new campaign. It's during the slow period that new ideas have the best chance of jumping up. Thanks for sharing your experience! |

Thats exactly what i do. I find some awesome ideas when i sit down and think about it for a while instead of moving to the next thing and the next thing.

unfortunately as the economy and the world keeps tumbling down and as more businesses fail it will be harder and harder to find your calm zone.

I like your initial post, Justin K, but I disagree with your last one.
You determine your outcomes. Not the economy. If anything, as the economy gets worse, more and more people are looking to the Internet for information to help them. Maybe you are focusing on the wrong things when you turn off all of your electronics. you said that you came up with refinements to what you were already doing - what if you came up with new things to do (a new product or service you could offer? An extension to an existing product or service you could offer?). What are you doing now that could help people get what they want? What market are you trying to serve? |

Thank you. Me too sometimes feeling exhausted and tired trying to find out how to earn from internet. It so hard. So i start from basic, things that I should do from start, and in the process I enjoy it. I also learn more than jumping at all the things and cannot even handle one good. Thank you for sharing this.

Wow, it's amazing how well timed this post is for me! Right now, I'm going through a rough time at work, and really gritting my teeth when I get to the computer. I recently took up a bit of guided meditation, and when I really allow it to work I'm really cookin along. It's funny how we need to be reminded about simplicity.

Calming down, as well as other modes of being the right frame of mind are essential to be happy. Success is about being happy. So, I agree with you.

Yeah, it's good to take a break from everything sometimes. You can get so caught up in running your business that you "can't see the forest for the trees". Taking time away helps you re-center yourself and get a bigger perspective on things. Also, I find that when I spend less time on the computer, I also make better use of the time I do spend on it, and so I get more work done.

Seeing as my world has recently been turned upside down, this is a great thread to keep in mind.
I have ideas spinning... tons of ideas. My new place doesn't have Internet yet (if anyone's wondering I'm on my boyfriend's computer), kind of hard to do any sort of Internet marketing, right? Not really... so many flashy things online (new IM course here, new WSO there, etc.) that it's hard to work in peace. When I go home, I write it on paper... then when I come here and get online, I copy what I've written. |

This is such a timely post for me. These tips apply to other areas of life as well.
Getting out in nature (on good days of course), sitting in a dark room, going to bed an hour earlier (before midnight is best), or meditating are all good ways to clear my mind. When I feel the tension in my shoulders or start to snap at the kids I know it time for some cooling off time. |
