Another aspect of being successful, I suppose, is having great people around you. Someone more qualified has said that you're the sum total of the 5 people you spend the most time with. Socially, I would say that's true. And, while I kind of like the bull-doggedness of being independent and not caring what people think (those who don't believe in my vision for the future) I'm just about old enough to makes things easier by surrounding myself with wonderful, positive, and happy people. ![]() So to answer the original question, I would say that it's important to understand the significance of the relationships that you cultivate. And, if someone is holding you back from realizing your dreams or ambitions then maybe it's time you had a heart-to-heart. |

Ones definition of Success differs from another but the ingredients required to achieve success is "Desire, dedication and discipline". I feel Discipline is the most important factor that will determine the rate of success. Thanks

Most people seem to agree that you must believe in yourself to succeed. But if you're not actually demonstrably achieving sucess, is the really important part of your mind that's always there in the background going to believe you when you tell yourself that you're already sucessful and that you deserve to succeed? To quote a couple of proverbs which I genuinely believe in from personal experience: "Actions speak louder than words" and "Nothing succeeds like success". To me, these two together mean that you've got to cut down on the philosophy and get on with the job. When you start getting minor results, your enthusiasm and energy soars so you get more results, so your enthusiasm and energy soars etc etc. Before long you've created your own 'success process' and then ALL of your mind believes that you're a success and that you deserve everything you're getting! Consequently, you achieve even greater success which you genuinely deserve because of your efforts and self-belief. |

From my view point the corner ston to success is to trust your self and your ability to achive & getting your dreams true.May be we will not achive it 100% , but surely if we don`t trust our selves we will never move a step from our place. B.Regards |

Actually, we need a true belief on The Creator, The Almighty, The Merciful to be successful in all sectors of life. This is that I believe. If we all have 100% trust on The Creator and if we all obey the religious rules, Success will come to our door and that is proved. Hope all will try it. ![]() Regards, Pioneer |

Life is an experience of change. Your life is your experience of change seen from your unique perspective, your unique situation, your unique position. Change will happen anyway. That is the nature of Life. Success is what we experience when we manage the process of change and achieve the conditions or circumstances that we desire. Success is the process of managing change to reach a new condition or circumstance. It consists of both our managing change action, and our recognising our desired condition or circumstance when it is reached. It is the journey and the destination. So what do we need to believe in order to be successful? We need to believe that we can manage the process of change. We need to believe that the new condition or circumstance that we seek can be reached using the change management process that we employ. We need to believe that the new condition or circumstance that we seek is worth the effort of managing the process of change. We can break down what we need to believe even further: To believe that we can manage the process of change, we need to believe: - we have the ability to manage the process of change - we have the resources, or can get the resources to manage the process of change (those resources may be physical, intellectual, emotional or spiritual) - we have the capacity to take the required actions to manage the process of change To believe that the new condition or circumstance that we seek can be reached using the change management we employ: - we need to believe in our own talents an abilities - we need to believe that where our own talents and abilities are insufficient that sufficient talent and abilities will be provided through our own development or from elsewhere - we need to believe in the possibility of change in the direction we seek. To believe that the new condition or circumstance that we seek is worth the effort of managing the process of change. - we need to believe that we can feel life's positive emotions (such as love, joy, excitement, thrill, contentment, amusement, peace and many others). These are our real rewards for achievement and success. |

If I have to summarize in one word, it would be - yourself. There is no success if you do not believe in yourself. Of course, there are many other factors required for success (acting upon determined plan, persistence, continuous learning/development, etc.), but since we are talking what one needs to believe in, answer is definitely: You need to believe in yourself. |
