Default Secret to Success?

I say meditation. Or simply put - visualization. Visualize yourself getting a lot of work done quickly on your site. Visualize yourself on being successful. Just think and visualize positive things in your life. You'll get there.

Remember though -

Success is no secret. It is merely a created system that is simple to use and follow. Along the way, you modify to your best practices. It is like a vehicle, you or someone else could be the driver driving or riding to your destination called SUCCESS. It is a matter of whether you want to do it or not.

Default Re: Secret to Success?

12 STEPS TO A LASTING SUCCESS

1. DO NOT GAMBLE WITH YOUR FUTURE
Never try it unless you want to become a failure. Only failure discard ideas or imputations at the first glance without getting relevant information about the idea(s) and how to utilize that idea(s) in order to succeed.

2. BE A TOUGH MINDED OPTIMIST.
The optimize always has a strong feeling of positive expectancy and so is self-driven and motivated. But PESSIMIST are often never-do-wells they can never get something right.

3. KNOW THAT PROFIT IS BETTER THAN WAGES
You can't get rich working for someone else. When you earn wages, there is a limitation to how much you can earn hence you can never get rich working for wages from someone else.
But when you earn profit there is no limitation. If you desire to earn more profit you do more of what you are already doing.
Until you are ready to take the risk of confronting the chellenges that earning profit brings you can never succeed.

4. IT'S BETTER TO PROFIT FROM 1% OF A THOUSAND PEOPLE'S EFFORT THAN TO PROFIT FROM 100% OF MY OWN EFFORT
Don't be too greedy employer best hand to help you acheive your goal.

5. KNOW THAT SUCCESS IS ACHIEVED ONE DAY AT A TIME
If you want to achieve a goal of having your own million-plus business, you do so by adopting a daily lifestyle focused on developing the skills and attitudes of a multi-millionaire business person.
The only difference I have observed between the successful and the unsuccessful is that the former keeps this thinking in the forefront of their mind and takes action on it each and everyday.

6. BE ADAPTABLE
One definition of insanity that i loves most is that insanity is continuing of doing the same thing everyday and expecting a different result.
Change your ways and thinking to conform with reality.

7. POWER PRINCIPLE
If you are not making mistakes, you are not making progress, period!
If you see failure as a door that has been closed, find a new one to open. If you see failure as a road that is closed, find a DETOUR! But whatever you do find a way.

8. YOU MUST SACRIFICE
There cannot be an achievement without a sacrifice. You must put in your time, your money and your effort in order to gain anything worthwhile.

9. BE INDUSTRIOUS
Never you dream of making your success easier but dream of making yourself better.

10. DO NOT PACK YOUR YOUR EGGS IN ONE BASKET
Creating many opportunities for making money is the key to wealth. Always have multiple streams of income.

11. Build Your Assets And Make Sure You Reduce Your Liabilities To The nearest Minimum.

12. Always stay away from the "NEGS" negativity is very very infectious.

That is all for now, go ahead and apply all this to your day to day life.
You will surely Succeed

There are many great thoughts in this thread, and in some way they are all important to success. I think you need to first be happy where you're at, not satisfied, but happy. Then taking massive focused action, visualizing where you want to be, and affirmations complete with dream board, mind movies can all take hold and position you to be the success you were meant to be.

Default Re: Secret to Success?

Everyone has views on the "Secret to Success". Throughout my life, Success has been a goal that has captured my mind and has instilled in me a Burning Desire to Succeed. I've learned and realized that, in order for someone to become successful they have to Let go of their Fears. Fear has hindered millions of people from taking ACTION and living out their DREAMS. You must Face your Biggest Fears and accept them and then go BEYOND them.
In addition to conquering your fears you must place a mental picture in your mind of Actually SEEING yourself BEING Successful and enjoying everything that it brings with it. Success has to be an obsession. It has to be combined with a BURNING "White Heat" of the unbreakable Desire to Succeed. As many of the most Successful leaders and people in the history of our world have demonstrated, we MUST BURN All Bridges behind us and promise ourselves that we will Never Give Up on our quest to reach our dreams of Success no matter what adversity or obstacle we may face. A situation that may vividly illustrate this for you is one of which I love and cherish:

This story is of a great warrior who was faced a situation which made it necessary for him to make a decision to achieve the Success on the battlefield. He and his men were up against a powerful enemy, who outnumbered his army. But this warrior would NOT accept Failure as an option. So he ordered his ships to be burnt and told his men, "You see the boats going up in smoke. That means that we cannot leave these shores alive unless we win! We now have no choice--we win--or we perish!". They won.

So, we have to go ALL in and leave no option for Failure. However, as we all know Failure in any endeavor or challenge is Inevitable. This is why we must FAIL OUR WAY TO THE TOP. We cannot linger on the short-term dissapointments and failures we face. We must continue to Face our Fears, take risks and challenges. We must move from one failure to the next, moving forward and in a positive direction every step of the way.

Success begins with a burning desire combined with the emotions of Faith and a DEFINITE Purpose performed through an EXACT Plan.

I hope you have gained a little spark to urge you to go after Success and Burn All bridges behind you. Hold Nothing back and you will surely be met with your heart's desire.

Yours in True Freedom,
Sonam Lama

Being successful is something that can be measured in different ways. The secret is commitment and positive outlook in whatever you do. Time should be at your side and with the things that you need to do, everything should be well planned and achieved. When satisfaction with happiness is reached then success is achieved.

The secret to success is not your resources, but rather it is your resourcefullness combined with direction, and with determination.

But, you have to realize, even with that, you will never truly be successful, because success is a journey, not a destination.

Taking 100% responsibility for your own life.

We have been conditioned to blame outside ourselves, and believe that we are entitled to a great life, and that someone, somewhere, somehow, (certainly not us), is responsible for filling our lives with continual happiness, success, blissful relationships, etc.

Stop looking outside yourself for the answers to why you haven't created the life and results you want, for it is you who creates the quality of the life you lead and the results you produce.

Having a clear goal.

Deciding that you're going to have that goal, and that "failure isn't an option".

Working smart and hard.

Surrounding yourself with successful people so that you can lean from them and take on their attitudes.

And yes, visualization. Seeing it before you have it.

Nice thread.. the discussion on success is never ending and the secret to success is different for different people. Success is journey and not a destination. Success to most of the people comes from DISCIPLINE and ACTION. Discipline makes you be on track for the right action to success. Thanks and Good luck.

Focusing your mind on the results you want to create (instead of focusing on the things you don't want) is very important.

I think there is something to that whole "Law of Attraction" thing...

Act as though it were impossible to fail. If you could do anything you wanted and were guaranteed to succeed, what would you do? Set goals and work steadily towards them.

Your thoughts are powerful, so don't focus on what you don't want. Instead, constantly shift your thoughts back to what you do want.

Default Re: Secret to Success?

Here is something cool to think about during these difficult times...

When doing battle with disheartened feelings, take a look at this man's 'potted bio' and reflect on his record of failure. It is a testament to how humans can learn and grow and win despite the losses and defeats.

When I researched the 'bio' of this man Nietzsche's words resonated vociferously in my mind:

"whatever does not kill me makes me stronger"

Failed in business-------------------------------------1831
Defeated for legislature------------------------------1832
Failed in business again----------------------------1833
Elected to legislature---------------------------------1834
Sweetheart died----------------------------------------1835
Nervous breakdown------------------------------------1836
Defeated for speaker----------------------------------1838
Defeated for land officer------------------------------1843
Defeated for congress--------------------------------1843
Elected to congress-----------------------------------1846
Defeated for re-election-------------------------------1848
Defeated for senate------------------------------------1855
Defeated for vice president--------------------------1856
Defeated for senate------------------------------------1858
Elected President--------------------------------------1860

Who was he?

He was a simple, uneducated, country boy who refused to allow his unpleasant circumstances stop him. He refused to be a victim. He refused to accept failure. He refused to listen to people who told him he was crazy. He refused to stay down when he felt like nothing was going his way.

Simply put, he picked himself up no matter what and kept on going after his dream.

He educated himself and did whatever it took to keep moving in the direction of his passions.

Who was he?

Abraham Lincoln.

If you reflect back on your life, you can find patterns of the times you grew the most. Many of those times were probably a result of some kind of previous 'failure,' maybe even a series of them.

Remember: children don't fail when they are learning to walk. They fall down over and over again. It is the falling that teaches them and strengthens them.

Each failure is a learning experience. And the faster people pick themselves up, reflect on the past occurrence and go again, the faster they can achieve their goals and dreams.

So with this in mind, choose the one thing that may not be going exactly as you wish right now and do one thing to move you closer to achieving the result you want. And remember, life is about learning and growing.

Something to consider in the quest for success I think guys....?

Garry.

First, I'd like to apologise if my reply comes across as a promotion. That's not my intention. But since this thread is about the secret to success, I do have a lot to contribute. However, everything I'd like to say is in my eBook. Most of what all warriors have contributed here are being covered and more.

Having said that, the one secret to success I've talked about over and over again on my blog is "Enjoy What You Do" because this is really what gets me going.

You see, I'm probably one of the laziest persons you'd ever meet. In the past, my mum often said to me, “You’re so lazy that I can see your lazy juice oozing out from your ears!”

When I was in school, I was too lazy to study hard even though I wanted to get good grades because studying was just not my interest and I never thought doing well in school would guarantee a promising future.

I picked up golf about a year and a half ago but I’m still pretty much a below average player because although I like the game, I’m just not passionate enough to be motivated to practise hard enough to improve my swing.

My whole life, I’ve never had the motivation to work hard to accomplish anything in a big way because I never found my passion in anything worth my effort.

But right now, as an Internet entrepreneur working from home, I didn’t feel the need for anyone to kick my butt to get me going.

I could work into the wee hours of the night and still wake up early to carry on my work.

I’m self-motivated to do all this because I enjoy doing it. I wake up early not because I have to but because I want to. I immerse myself in work not because I need to but because I choose to.

Doing what I love doing is how I overcome my laziness to work hard. When you are absolutely passionate about what you do, you’ll automatically be motivated to do it. And you won’t find that it’s hard work because when you’re doing something you love, you’ll find there’s more pleasure than work in it.

I sincerely hope that everyone here is able to find his/her true passion, turn it into your success idea and live the dreams of your life.

Cheers~

Mark

This reminds me of a book called The Silva Mind Control Method. Its a very good book and suggest it. Try it out! It gives some great mind exercises to do. Well, if you can unplug from the mighty internet!

I think the secret of success is in understanding that its a journey and not a destination. It happens through sheer discipline in life and action on the ideas one has. Every individual can achieve success in whatever he desires too but with discipline and continuous action. Thanks

There is no one thing, it's a series of things you do every day without fail. Have clear vision of what it is you want; the overall big picture and the steps along the way. Get up every morning early and meditate and visualize on the goals you want, already feeling them as true now. Exercise and move your body, breathe deeply and eat healthily everyday; a healthy body results in high energy, an efficient mind and a happy mood!
Make a list of what you need to do every day, and focus wholly and completely on each respective task, do it to the best of your ability and do not lose focus or move onto the next step until you have completed it.
Dale Carnegie said "If you can't do great things, do every small thing in a great way".. or something to that effect!
Persevere through the tough times with full belief that you will absolutely succeed and don't listen to either the negativity from other or from your own mind.
Push yourself and get comfortable with being uncomfortable. To achieve a better life and add more value to yourself means doing new things you have never done before, which inevitably means getting uncomfortable.
Take yourself lightly and don't be too serious, have fun with what you're doing, enjoy every step along the way and see every challenge as an opportunity for growth, not a set back.
Personal development everyday; expand your mind with personal development from the masters and compound your learning curb by modelling yourself on the successful who have already succeeded in your field.
Watch your friends because your income will be within 10% of the 10 closest people to you, don't let the influence of well-meaning others hold you back.
Mastermind with millionaires; attend seminars, make friends and alliances, listen to audios of the super wealthy who are teaching you how to get there.

Here are some great ones for you to start with:

Having it all- audio by John Assaraf
The Answer- audio by John Assaraf
Living an Exceptional Life- audio by Jim Rohn
Inspiration- audio by Wayne Dyer
There is a spiritual solution to every problem- audio by Wayne Dyer
Get the Edge (complete 7 day programme)- audio by Anthony Robbins

Science of getting rich- audio programme by Bob Proctor, Jack Canfield and Michael Beckwith
The slight edge- audio by Jeff Olsen
Think and Grow Rich- Napoleon Hill
How to win friends and influence people- Dale Carnegie
Sharpen the Saw- Stephen Covey
Trust your vibes- audio by Sonia Choquette
Feel the fear and do it anyway- Susan Jeffers
Ask and it is given- Jerry and Esther Hicks
The power of your subconscious mind- Joseph Murphy

Also watch the Secret!

I have done lots of videos on this type of thing so feel free to have a look on my YouTube channel:
