This post is kind of raw and from the heart... I've found that if you set a goal on this forum, then there's a lot of power in it. I just remembered this morning that I set a goal the first day I started on this forum in June 2007... I had struggled for a few years before getting on Warrior Forum, even though I had learned a lot about setting up blogs, using HTML editors, and basic SEO. For a few years straight I discovered just slapping AdSense code on a blog and pimping ClickBank products through it isn't enough. So I was like... I'm tired of making $3 a day and I bought some product about AdSense that said I should join WF, and that's when I joined this forum. So the first day on the forum, I said, a year from now I'm going to at least make more than at my job every month. I struggled for most of my first months of being on the forum. Every other week it seemed I had a new thread saying basically, "I'm freaking quitting." But I stuck with it through the support of the members of the forum... and I ended up barely making my goal. I was a house painter at the time so it wasn't amazing money, but I made more online than I did at my regular job. I achieved my goal. All rocketed from there. This month I should do a little over $10k. Last month was about the same. Another month this year I did around $13k. Other months this year have been high 4 figure months. ...pretty much all as an affiliate. Dude, I was A HOUSE PAINTER. Before that a broke guitar teacher, before that a broke 3rd assistant manager at Eckerd, before that a broke pizza delivery guy. That's why I say this forum has magical money power. I never really thought I'd ever succeed, but I put my head down and just went for it. Some people come firing out of the gate on Warrior Forum and make tons of cash their first months online. That wasn't me... Maybe that's not you, and if it's not, it's ok. My advice... Set a goal on this forum, work on changing the way you think to match a badass marketer's mind, study marketing like you're getting a PHD in it, and do what works for you over and over again. Maybe it wont even take a year for you to have your internet marketing breakthrough like it did for me. Likely you're smarter than I am because I made a 720 on my SAT in high school and dropped out of college as a guitarist stoner (not anymore that was me a long time ago). I'll tell you what I'd do to speed up the process for anyone who's struggling on this forum... *Create some internet marketing PLR and sell it as a WSO. See what it's like to make some sales. ...You serious, honestly, seriously... honestly... seriously... wouldn't believe how many successful internet businesses that are now making 5 figures per month have started on the WSO forum. It's a launch pad with your name on it baby. *Go find a quality $7 instant PayPal commission product set up on RAP or $7 Secrets and go pimp it... start small and make some small sales. Build a little list on the WSO forum and sell some stuff. It'll be fun having some internet cash in your back pocket. *Get a circle of 5 internet marketers who are on your same level and who are good people like you, and create a mastermind group that shares what's working for each other. You can also promote for each other. You can add 5 people to a Skype chat and talk daily. |

That's really inspirational mate. I was actually a painter in my late teens and early twenties for my Dad's painting business, while I attended university. It's amazing what can happen if you work really hard towards a goal Congratulations and well done. I hope you inspire some of those who are thinking about packing it in Cheers |

Thank you so much for sharing your story. I am new to this and I truly want to make a decent living with both IM marketing and selling my insurance online. I can truly say that this forum is one of the best as far as sharing and encouragement.

Insurance is a good biz because of the residuals. You could do well with it. Depending on your budget, paid advertising may be out of the question. And although it's a competitive market, I'm not sure if there are many easy joint ventures to be made. BUT you can always become an SEO guru and dominate long-tail... then over time possibly get a competitive keyword. | |
