Default If money was no restriction, what would you do?

What would you do?
I would first make sure to invest it so it keeps multiplying and I'd be free to pursue my dreams.
Then I would invite with my family and friends for a trip to a Pacific Island.
I would promote good causes that stop much suffering like clean water for everyone.
How about you?

Please read the sig file rules

actually - exactly what I do now - because I love what I do [balancing between my business development and my small family].
As well as being a philantropist without the money - yes, that's possible too and very rewarding.

Well to be really realistic, I will give it to the less fortunate who are deserving. I will invest it on a business that can help employ thousands of unemployed skilled workers. Donate some of it to the organizations and centers for their medicine and other needed items. Donate to the church too. If I were to sum it up, I'll give money to everyone that needs it and deserving of it.

I would probably end up giving most of it away, but I would also invest so that I never had to worry about money again! Then, I would pursue the life of my dreams which involves hiking and cruising with my husband.

I would accomplish two goals that have eluded me so far: 1) climb Mt Everest and 2) visit 100 countries so I can join the Century Travelers Club.

So far I have climbed the highest mountain on 4 of the 7 continents on my way to Everest. I have visited 41 countries but when I return from holiday October 2nd that number will increase to 47.

If money had no restriction I would like you said invest in something that will continue to make me money. Or I would even start a business that I always wanted.

Then on to the personal development, such as a home that I personally designed, things that make me happy.

Then give back to those in need, because their are lots of people out there in need of some serious help. That's what I would do if money had no restriction!

I'd build my own city with a huge police presence, but massive public freedoms. It would be quite the little experiment

The amount of money you have really isn't a restriction for any of the items that have been listed so far.

You can replace the need for money with creative thought, your own skills, or simple persistence.

Most of us live under a delusion that the presence of money will eliminate our problems or our challenges. It won't, it doesn't and it never will. The problems change in nature, but they're still there.

For a number of years I had a sizeable income. Far more than I could use. It's still healthy, but not as outlandish. The things I wanted to accomplish all my life after I had 'made it' were suddenly open to me, but they didn't require money.

I wanted to be philanthropic, so I created a fundraising letter that, over the years, brought in far more money than I could ever offer. I wanted to invest heavily in real estate, only to discover that the best way of doing that was without the use of my own money. I had to learn and implement strategies that would make that come about. Geez, I could have done that when I was broke!

Whatever our goals are, we think that having money will allow us to bring them about solely through our own efforts. That doesn't work either. You've got to work with people regardless of your goals. Just try to create a city (a previously mentioned goal) by yourself and you'll soon learn that one. Ford tried to do that decades ago with a South American effort, so he could control rubber production. Despite all his reserves, (cash and smarts) his new city failed miserably. Instead, why not work aggressively with people, organizations, or groups who are trying to bring about the same result you are.

Want to climb Everest? No problem. Your first step (sorry) is to start helping others who have that goal, develop a reputation for accomplishment, work with them to get those sponsors on board, establish contacts, and before you know it, you're a support person at Base Camp 1, then an expedition expert, and then leading your own expedition. And you've got a wealth of people on your rolodex who will gladly help you achieve your goal.

Now on to business. Keep this maxim close to your heart: If you can't make money without money, you won't be able to make money with money.

But there is something that money gives us that is absolutely essential to our success... confidence. I'm rich, I'm going to start this program, and my money says I'm going to succeed. Because I believe that, my success is inevitable.

Ironically, confidence (not wild-eyed enthusiasm, but the well-considered belief in our own abilities) doesn't cost a cent. The easiest way to get it is to constantly be building on our previous smaller successes.
Just a thought.
Cheers,
Steve Manning

The amount of money you have really isn't a restriction for any of the items that have been listed so far. You are obviously speaking for yourself.

Mr Manning, from my perspective dealing with CFS daily (that's Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, in case you didn't know), I need to manifest the cash flow (again) to be able to pay for my Naturopathy and Vitamins.

"Most of us live under a delusion that the presence of money will eliminate our problems or our challenges. It won't, it doesn't and it never will.". I have a difference of opinion with that statement you made. With the presence of enough money, I will be able to afford (again) to be healthier and pain-free.

When I manifest the cash-flow that I require have a pain-free body, then that is one problem that is eliminated in my life, and I will be able to have a better quality of life, and I won't be in pain/feeling tired.

The problems change in nature, but they're still there. Once my physical/physiological "challenges" have been obliterated from my body, then there are the next things on my list to deal with.

And, I still want the 50+ ha somewhere

I do know that with more money, we have more CHOICE. The only restrictions we have is our minds, and what we think we can do, due to the restrictions we place on ourselves.

Please be nice to us n00bs, as you were one once, and we are your customers.

Hello:

Marketing-wise, I would continue on the path I am now. I am learning and developing best practices in Internet Marketing with the aim of building a successful online business that will last beyond my lifetime for the benefit of others.

On a personal basis, if money was no restriction, I would build a massive, self-contained, environmentally controlled personal sanctuary filled with walking trails and gardens and plenty of sunlight. This would be for my spouse and I, and for family (and friends) who visit.

I am happy living where I live ... I just do not like the long, cold winter! I want temperature control, no wind, and lots of sunshine year round.

Goodness do not get me started...

I would go through the first stage of people who strike out.. buy all I can buy till I get bored

Then I would go through the next stage .. go on a long voyage and see the world

Then I would upgrade all my loved ones and improve their lives

Then I would seek to find myself spiritually

Then I would write a book

Then teach about my life lessons

And a lot more inbetween

After tithing a portion of my income
every month, I'd help every person
in my family who is struggling financially.

More than just give them money, I'd
hire Tony Robbins to teach all of my
family members how to tap into that
infinite power within so that they
stop falling into the same old traps
every single month.

Then, I'd get Suze Orman to come and
teach everyone about investing and
saving.

I'd make these two things a requirement
before I gave them any money.

No one in my family would the opportunity
to complete transform their finances and
not blow it.

Then they could teach their children
and their children would teach their
children and finally this cycle of
lack would be broken.

Yeah...that's definitely what I will
do when I can afford it.

I find myself beween the opinions expressed in these two posts (#10 and 12). I agree with Steve Manning that our basic problems and challenges lie in ourselves, not our income. On the other hand, many of us know what it is to have a real cash flow problem that blocks any forward action, even if only temporarily. In fact the short-term blocks can be the most irritating. As someone who has often been in very difficult financial situations, I can't soar as sublimely above the need for money as Steve. But then if I'd dealt with the inner problems more competently, perhaps none of those situations would have arisen.
