Default Crab Mentality

This is a negative attitude that should not be taken for granted. How does this affect you as a person who strives hard to achieve a certain goal and yet there are these people who hopes for your failure?

Negativity as opposed to critical pessimism is an outlook and as such denotes everything as bad.

Such a mindset is wrought with danger

Crab Mentality in a positive way:

"We can put crab-mentality in a more positive way that can be compared to a support group. Try putting the crabs in a basin or pail and observe them in a few minutes. Your first impression upon seeing them pulling one another back to the bottom of the basin is that they don’t want anybody to get out of where they are. This is what we normally think about crab mentality, right?. Keep observing further, you will notice that at the end of the day, no more crab is left on the basin. If you analyze their behavior, it is actually the stronger crabs who are helping the weak ones in climbing up the basin, they are the support group that are actually pulling their colleague up in the basin."

LOL, that's certainly a *different* way of looking at things! I never thought of it like that...

Too funny! I have a site under development based on this philosophy.....
I can't give out the domain yet as I don't own it yet (though I own the .net version) but it is currently pending delete as the owner neglected to renew it after having it for sale for the past 2 years for $500. I have waited awhile for this domain and now It's almost mine!!

I like your positive view of this.......there is indeed order in chaos

Thanks for this one. I was not expecting this kind of thinking but trying to think of it, looking at the positive point of view somehow helps and makes life simpler and happier.

I agree with this. In reaching success we should be careful not to step on other people. We should be sensitive of the effect of our being successful to others. But not totally minding our own business, maybe just don't be too intruding but be sensitive and help those who needs your assistance.
