Are you a person who fears failure? I personally think that in everything that we do there is the risk of failing. Do think that we have to be afraid of failing?

The way I see it, the only way of failing is giving up. So there is nothing to fear. While most think that not succeeding at a task is failure, I see it as simply learning how not to do something. And I've learnt how not to do a lot of things! |

You don’t learn from doing it right. You don’t evolve from winning. You don’t grow from success. Doing it right, winning and success are the result of the lessons you learn from failing.

I completely agree with the above posts, failure doesn't always have to be a bad thing. If we truely believe that we failed at a certain task, we should do our best to evaluate the steps that we took and see what kind of changes we can make in order to succeed and achieve the goal which we had set ourselves towards.

Its true that failure is the first step to success. The people who always face ups and downs of the life, they get success after a certain time. But the people who lose their heart, they never see the success in their life. Because God helps those who helps themselves. |

Fear is based upon the unknown. When one thinks about coming out of his or hers comfort zone this can cause a fear process. Most of us are conditioned from day one not to do this or that and to behave in a certain way, even though our parents done what they thought was right for us what actually happened is that we took their opinions with us as ours. Then once we matured and started thinking for ourselves this resulted in a fear because our old conditioning told us that this is not right (whatever the subject may be). So my friends fear is but of illusion, we create it and we can conquer it.....Why worry about something that has not happened? Just like why worry about something that has happened in the past, the past is gone and the future has not happened yet. Live for today, the now, and go for whatever it is you want; as long as it will not harm others.

Failure is the stepping stone to success. If we couple failure with persistence we will eventually succeed. Show me a person who has never failed and I will show you a person who has never tried. Fear of failure will surely cripple you. Remember you can only fail if you quit trying. Here's to your continuing success Locpic63 |

| for me who to overcome the feer of failure the greatest fears people have. Fear of failure is closely related to fear of criticism and fear of rejection. Successful people overcome their fear of failure. Fear incapacitates unsuccessful people. The Law of Feedback states: there is no failure; there is only feedback. Successful people look at mistakes as outcomes or results, not as failure. Unsuccessful people look at mistakes as permanent and personal. Buckminster Fuller wrote, "Whatever humans have learned had to be learned as a consequence only of trial and error experience. Humans have learned only through mistakes." Most people self-limit themselves. Most people do not achieve a fraction of what they are capable of achieving because they are afraid to try because they are afraid they will fail. hope that will help |

Trial and error are usually the prime means of solving life’s problems. Yet many people are afraid to undertake the trial because they’re too afraid of experiencing the error. They make the mistake of believing that all error is wrong and harmful, when most of it is both helpful and necessary. Error provides the feedback that points the way to success. Only error pushes people to put together a new and better trial, leading through yet more errors and trials until they can ultimately find a viable and creative solution. To meet with an error is not to fail, but to take one more step on the path to final success. No errors means no successes either. |

I don't think we should be afraid of failure, although I often find that I am. On the other hand, you should avoid betting the farm and assuming there is light at the end of the tunnel. Don't forget about the "calculated" part of calculated risk!

I think the only real failure is quitting along the way. We may have obstacles, bumps in the road, and trouble along the way, but it is imperative that we learn from what happens along the way on our journey to success and freedom.

Once my teacher wrote me email mentioning "Failure is first step towards Success" , It was motivational email, because me & my team failed in paper presentation selection process. It was our first chance for big stage but we were not selected , he told us this is part of life & you should take positives from that & get yourself prepared for big jump. The day when we heard this we were charged up. Later next day I dont know how that happened but We got email from Selection comitee that our paper was reviewed & we got chance to present it in front of 500 audience. Guess what later we won the 2nd price for Paper of the Year in college. It was awesome feeling - from that day I still believe Failure is first step toward success. |

I don't think there should be any fear of failure with IM. Really, think about this. What happens if you fail? What is the worst case scenario? You really are only out your time if it doesn't workout, and realistically not very much money. IMO, if it doesn’t workout it isn’t because you failed, it is because you just haven’t found the path that will be successful for you. Some find it right off the bat, others have to try a few methods before they get their “ah-ha!” moment. If this is right for you the challenge will be enjoyable and it will eventually happen for you. The biggest reason for failing is not following through and flat out just taking action. I do some stock and futures trading as well, and there is a real fear of failure there. If you don't execute correctly, follow your system, or gamble there is a very high likelihood of substantial financial loss. IM in comparison, is far less financially risky and far less likely to have large repercussions to contend with if it doesn't work out. The beauty of IM is that the risk of financial loss is low when compared to other at home businesses. The question is do you have the discipline to actually do the work, patience to overcome roadblocks and the learning curve and to stay focused and not spend lots of money on the next system to make money. Fear of failure doesn’t apply here. I would fear remaining in a J-O-B far more than failing at IM. |

We should not fear of failure. I failed lots of times, but I gained experiences which were better that the failure itself. That valuable experiences help me to build up my business now. Never doubt yourself after a failure, since if you try again, you will be successful. (If a kid fear of failure and never try to walk, then he will never walk...that's what I think). |

I can't deny the fact that I do not want to fail. I am the type of person who doesn't want to disappoint anyone. In everything I do, I give it my 100 percent and sopmetimes even more. But there are times when our best is not good enough and fail. Failing is a good opportunity for us to learn more about ourselves and we can assess the things we did that made it wrong. Failure as seen, through an optimist's eye can be a great opportunity.

It's said that success comes from failure and even that the more you fail, the more you succeed - which I think is a bit extreme and almost encourages the pursuit of failure! But I have learnt much from my (many) failures and I am now sold on the 'every cloud has a silver lining' principle. But you've got to search for the silver lining to get a positive outcome. Recently, I'm finding that I'm motivated by the fear of losing what is valuable to me in my life and to keep myself on track I often visualize what my life would be like if I didn't have various 'luxuries' which I almost take for granted.

I think everyone's afraid of failure, but the ironic thing is that we get to learn from our mistakes. Failing doesn't mean we have to give up. In fact, it means we should get up and try harder.

Only an idiot has no fear of failure. Social stigma, financial set back, business embarrassment, legal retribution, peer ridicule, take your pick. These are all penalties for failure, and there are dozens more. While I agree that failure is the first step towards success, that doesn't mean you have to seek out mountains of failure in order to succeed. In fact, just the opposite is true. Fail often, but fail small. You can learn just as much from a tiny mistake as you can from a major mistake. Make a $100 mistake, not a $10,000 mistake. Learn the lesson and take advantage of the discounted tuition. Of course I fear failure. But I fear the repercussions of a major failure far more than those of a minor failure. Cheers, Steve Manning |

It is not failure itself that you have to fear, but rather your willingness to fail. There's always a possibility for us to fail. It's a fact of life, not only in business. But the question you should be asking yourself is that "am i willing to fail?" If yes, then you're fearing your own monster.

It is not failing that is important, it is the attitude to it that is important. Naturally, we all want success, not failure. But one time or the other we experiences failure. What we should do is equip ourselves with knowledge that help us to do better in our daily task. And when we fail, we should try to understand where we miss it and do our best not to fail on such projects in future.

Every individual would be scared of failure and there would be fear factor for sure in every individual, but because of the fear of failure if an individual stops trying to do something then he is already a failure. So one should keep trying. Thanks

No need to be affraid of the ievitable. You are going to fail at some point in your life. The question is do you stay down or get back up and learn from failure. if you learned from it then in fact it is NOT a failure !!! |
