Well, mind power is the central thing for achieving success in anything.
Unless you have a desire you won't take any actions at all.

To make it brief:

- psychology - the main factor to take into account when communicating to other people, without knowing basics of psychology your message might be not understood

- chi (ki, prana, life power, etc.) is just a name for the energy, owing to which all of us are alive

- LA - is a universal law, which means you have no possibility to succeed in what you are not ready to

- God - depends on your mindset. For me it's just another way to find a channel of communication with myself

- etc.

You see, the tower of Babel is not just a story - it symbolizes that we should have something in common to understand each other. And the language we choose for that purpose depends on too many things...

IMHO, everything concerning success begins with your wish and everything ends there too.

First of all you should consider and determine what “rich” means to you personally. Let me give you a hint. For a moment imagine you are a scientist and try to carefully examine the definitions of the term “rich” in a dictionary (Rich Definition | Definition of Rich at Dictionary.com) and also think over the origin of this word (Online Etymology Dictionary).

Have you noticed the basement for all those meaning? Yes, it’s “having abundance of values”. And the values are not just money; they are almost anything that is important to you.

Hence, determine for yourself what your values, your TRUE values in life are.

You may do it the following way: make a list of what you wish and care for. Include in it everythin you may think of. Don’t forget about such spheres of your life as your self esteem, your family relations, your career, your talents and abilities, your intelligence, etc. It doesn’t matter that your list may become quite large – write down everything you may think of as having some value to you.

So you’re all set. Now look at your list and strikethrough those items you may well do without. This may be called as dividing your list into what you “wish” and what you “would like”.

Let’s be honest: the items that fall into the category of “would like” have low value to you. It’s just a temptation. “That’ll be great if I have that fine dress! (Though I already have three hundred of such ones)”, “I want Porsche Carrera, it’s so cool! (Though in my town there are no roads to drive it on)”…

So what to do with “would like” items? Just forget them! Don’t put your energy to even thinking about them, you have not that much of it and you’ll need your energy to fulfill what your really need. At this stage try to be severe upon youself.

Well now, your list has become a bit shorter (for those who were really honest with themselves – much shorter). The list contains the values worth working with.

At the next stage you should pick from the remaining items those that are vitally important to you. These may be called the things to “starve for” and they exactly represent your current values in life. Getting or fulfilling them will make you really RICH.

So as you may see, richness is about the balance between what you need and what you have. As for me, I think Jesus was the richest man in the world – he had everything he needed, though didn’t have a dime. But times change and material values occupy much more minds of people today. Is it good or bad? Well, it depends of what you are going to do with your riches, or let’s put if more precise – with your wealth.

Thus before stepping on the rocky road to become wealthy try to answer this question: “What will you do when you become rich? What will you do with all that money you’ll have?”

Imagine yourself already possessing that huge amount of money and make a list of what you will spend them to. You may see that temptations will arise again. “Well, I have a possibility, why not to…” But don’t yield to them; firmly stick to your REAL values. Money itself doesn’t have any value. It’s just a mean to fulfil something, to achieve something you REALLY need. Unfortunately there are so many people who don’t know what to do with this mean…

All above is a preamble to becoming rich, but without it you won’t reach anything.

And practical steps after this stage are: goal creating and goal fulfilling.

First and foremost The Power Of The Mind, in the universal since, is more POWERFUL then we know to exist.

As Human Beings, we have the POWER to harness only a tiny fraction of this Universal Power, and rightly so, for can You imagine what a 3D functional being would do with this MIGHTY POWER if they had ULTIMATE UNIVERSAL MIND POWER...that's right They Would cause Mayham...for sure

A simple illustration of this on our 3D plan is What do You think would happen if ALL people on earth were on a Permanent Vacation being in the same state that the presently are??? You got it Mayham. In fact, to take this example further lets look at what kids do when their on summer vacation (in the thought that they have the power to do whatever and they are FREE to do so) and so what do they DO all day long, with this AWESOME POWER OF MIND AND FREEDOM, that's Right NOTHING really CONSTRUCTIVE at all. Taking this in consideration and adding to the fact that Adults are just BIGGER kids multiply that by 7+ Billion (KID/ADULTS, in the same MIND set) and You will see why the POWER OF THE UNIVERSE is sooooo adamant about keeping the 3D fools out! It's Only the INTELLIGENT thing to do, Right!

I mean wouldn't you if You knew that if you opened the DOOR to ALL they would just come in and S--- all over the place??? I most certainly would KEEP THEM OUT and I DO, I'm very adamant and discerning in ALL aspects of my life...So, that I can keep my POWER and PEACE

But, if your looking for the common human response to your inquiry about the power of the mind.......NOBODY I know or maybe NOT anyone on this planet is close enough in being INTELLIGENT enough to be awarded such a GIFT! Again rightly so.

BUT, I DO KNOW THIS FOR A FACT...if a person has Enough CERTAINTY in their Being to Accomplish a thing they WILL, and the Power Of The Mind Will Make It So.

BUT, here is where ALL get lost in how to get to the BIG CERTAINTY of a thing. And an answer to that is to know that you are NOT CERTAIN of a thing because you first have FEAR about having it, and for the simple fact that You Really like your comfort ZONE...so much that you are just willing to settle for less and play the MIND GAME pretending that You want and or are doing something about your plight...

So, to get to the REAL point of turning the tides in your Life you must let GO of the idea to pretend you are doing something for your life when in fact you are NOT, and then SHIFT your INNER ATTENTIONS to making measurable Steps to get confirming Results that your New Life EXIST and Can BE.

Remember, it serves You NOT to pretend a thing for your intent to do so will assuredly bring back to You ALWAYS the same NOTHING.

So, STOP pretending and Take Constructive Actions the things you want.

Going back reading through the post I noticed that there where a lot ?'s on getting Rich. Well, here's my ? to those who want to be Rich...BUT, first before I ask my ? I want you to know that I first, am CERTAIN that Being Rich is ALL relative to who You are, for some that means having Optimum Health for others a Million Bucks in cash and so on.

So, my Intent for the ? is to none other then to get You to the Real Point of what YOU think and FEEL being Rich is? And so, What do YOU Really Think And FEEL being Rich For YOU?

And When You Find This Out With a Peace of Mind and Smiling Heart YOU will then experience The SHIFT I was talking earlier about in my last post...And when You do Realize that thing that Being Rich is for YOU then Find the VEHICLE to put your time, energy and resources into to manifest it for You...Also, realizing depending on the VEHICLE and the energy and efforts You give it depends also on it's time manifestation. So, be very discerning of what you put you efforts into and what VEHICLE you choose to MAXIMIZE the time frame of your Manifestation.

All things are a process and and follow in a step by step manner until Momentum takes over...So, start with small targets and build from there. It is also very helpful to find LEVERAGED VEHICLES to close the Manifestation gaps to Being RICH.

An Internet Marketing EXAMPLE is: Why spend the energy, efforts and resources to TRY to make $1000s of Dollars when You haven't even made a dime on the Internet...It's just NOT the INTELLIGENT Thing to DO...period.

Everything starts with the right mindset.
You have to see yourself being wealthy and must imagine the life you want before you can actually start to live your dream life.
The mind is a unbelievable thing and I think most people on this planet can achieve way more than what they actually think they can.
It makes me sad that most people just want to live a normal average life and that they accept the fact that they will have to work till they are old.
I believe that anyone can achieve financial success with the right mindset.

Being rich is just a state of mind. If you are new to this game then you need to learn the skill of writing to the Sub-Conscious mind, but the only way you can do that is if you understand the other two.

The Conscious and Unconscious is easy to explain, just look it up. Based on my experience there is plenty of information around on how both of them work, but the key is learning how to program the Sub-Conscious mind to follow your instructions.

The Sub-Conscious is the crazy part of the mind. If you learn how to program other peoples Sub-Conscious than you can get them to do just about anything (like depart with their money)

This is very powerful stuff. If you use it incorrectly it can be dangerous, but that is the case with just about anything.

Historically, the people in our society who understood that in the past have usually been the demagogue. The Sub-Conscious is fair though. It is sitting there waiting to be program by you or someone else.

Oh Yeah, I believe. Remember it usually means giving up some stuff that you may not be accustom to. Over eating, sex, friendship are sometimes held as chains in our minds. We usually need to get up off the comfort zone, in order to achieve. I'm not talking about extreme make over. Everything happens in degrees. Balance is a key to success.

I think it works like this...

When you think yourself to be rich (or successful, or productive, etc.) and you believe it, the first thing that happens is your subconscious mind starts to look for “rich” opportunities without you even knowing about it. Then, as you move through your day you start to see these opportunities or people or events that you may have ignored if you believed yourself to be poor. But as a rich person, they fit right inline with your model of reality. So you take advantage of the opportunities that a rich person would take advantage of, you preform the steps that a rich person would preform, what do you think will happen? If you act like rich people act, and think like rich people think...it won’t be long before you’re rich!

But it all starts with belief, what can you do to make yourself truly believe that you are rich, that riches are your destiny? That’s the key.

I think that being rich means being happy and also being able to make your loved ones happy. It's no good being financially rich if you're not happy although you can suffer in comfort if you've got plenty of $$$. But money brings security and security can remove the strains and tensions from your life which goes a long way towards making me happy - so I reckon I'll keep on making money as too much of it hasn't made me unhappy yet!

I really enjoyed reading your post because I too have recently found the secret. I do not like to call it a secret but rather the "Truth".

What I have discovered is the Laws that are unchangeable and if we live by them the law of attraction cannot do other than work for us. It is a great learning curve and I am now putting it to work daily but the greatest thing of all is I want the world to know about it. Why were we not taught these things when we were young? At Home at school? I guess because so few people know about these laws is the reason why it is called the secret.

When I first watched the secret I was also under the misconception that if you think about what you want and really believe you will get it that that is enough to materialize it. But, unfortunately there is a lot more to it than that.

I love this forum, as it is interesting to hear different opinions and to learn from each other.

What does it mean to be rich? When I was in Asia I was considered rich, simply because I was able to travel, stay in hotels and eat in restaurants. I thought that I was not so rich because I could not stay in the ritzier hotels! Being rich is really relative t where you are and how you see yourself.
Cultivate a positive attitude and if you have a goal or a strong desire for something just go for it, there is no real secret. All that is needed is determination, visualize what you want and remove all doubt and fear.
All the very rich people I have come across all worked very hard and they were following their dream with single mindedness often to the exclusion of all else.

I just finished reading a really good book about the subconscious mind. It's called "The Power of Your Subconscious Mind" by Joseph Murphy. You can buy it from Amazon for like $10.

I believe that when we focus on big things and believe that they can be ours, we will take action to bring them about. Focusing on our goals brings us to action toward attaining them. I believe in the Law of attraction, power of positive thinking and also gratitude. If we are grateful for the things we have now more good things will come to us. A note on positive thinking, there have been many times when I have been focusing on the negative and low and behold something bad happens. Now I try to catch myself in these negative acts. So I like to be an optimist. Life is good!

So, all in all I think mental clarity and focus are the key.

What an inspirational thread, thank you so much to all of you. I was recently made redundant and needless to say big changes... I really believe it is important to be happy and grateful for what you have in life already and to take inspired action. Visualisation is a great tool also.

Totally agree with that. If you keep fearing failure I feel you are more likely to attract it just cause your mind is focusing " don't fail, don't fail!" where as a better way to think would be "Be successful, be successful".

The secret is simple actually - and it was most succinctly said in Proverbs 23, verse 7a:

"For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he..."

Bottom line. You Decide what you will be. You hold it firm without variance. You make a plan that moves you from where you are to where your goal is. You never, never, never, never give up in your movement to that goal.

I don't care what anyone else says - that is the only way to ultimate success. Those who seem to have the "golden touch" simply have this "system" ingrained into them so that it is automatic - they don't actually think about it, they just do it.

Those of us who need to think through each step of this "system" simply have to force ourselves to perform this type of activity until it becomes automatic - and guess what, as soon as success starts rolling in, it becomes a lot easier to make it automatic.

So to put it in modern parlance: "Know where you are going, go, and get up one more time than you get knocked down on your way there."

That is it.

I have to say I think that there is too much of the "Mumbo-Jumbo"-speak in the whole self-development movement. I like to go back to the masters such as Earl Nightengale and such. Now I realize that even back in the twenties there were some odd-ball theories (Master Key System anyone?) - but I think it is obvious - we are designed by our Creator with not only certain unalienable Rights, but also certain unalienable Abilities, amongst which are the ability to change our thoughts and use those thoughts mixed with our action to create a new reality for ourselves.

No magical fairy dust from the "Universal Mind Force" or whatever. Our Creator made us like Him, with the ability to create.

For instance: If you think most internet marketers are scam artists...they are for you b/c you will look for it and see only negative
If you think they are helpful people with good knowledge, you will take what you can learn from them and apply it to your own life.

It really is a lot about the attitude that you bring to situations.

I, personally, have been through a really really tough period lately and it got the best of me for a while, too long. I became very mean spirited to all until I finally realized that I should not dwell on the negative, but start creating some positive energy and start working on new ventures, relationships, etc.
Once my attitude of gloom disappeared, my problem didn't, but they became much much smaller.
