Default Are you ready for change?

We always have this normal or routine tasks everyday. Even in making decisions we have a certain borderline to avoid risks. How ready are you to take a change if you know that this change may give you a better life and this change has to undergo some risks?

Changing can be hard if you're not prepared. Habits included. Do you have any habits you like to change every so often to improve yourself? I tend to make up a plan, find a new habit to replace the old one with, and then do a 30 day trial run. Helps me keep the new habit in place and makes it easier to continue. (Which reminds me, you read Steve Pavlina? He got me started on the whole personal development bend.)

Change and challenges are spices of life.
Without change you stagnate, without challenge life is boring.
You must keep the adventure going or life just turns into a destination...

One of the main reasons I picked my current niche is because I knew it would be a very large challenge and would also encompass many factors in the SEO world in order to compete. I must say I have learned a lot since my last several personal projects which were dealing with Online Gambling and not retail.

And my upcoming project? I hear the Travel niche is quite challenging.

Been long time reader of Steve, since around 2006. Never really started applying his stuff until recently, and it's really been changing my life. Change is so hard in so many ways that you don't even think.

I mean for example, I've been working out and starting to show signs of losing weight (nothing huge yet, but a start) and in the back of my head I start getting worried that I'll miss being overweight....pretty crazy. People just don't want to change until they decide to.

30 day trials are great because they break the commitment down so much. This month I stopped watching TV and really noticed a great difference. Good post, way to mention Steve Pavlina, always a good read =]

Yeah change is always there to make us better people. I personally take every opportunity to consider a change especially if I know it is meant for me.

I think that change is good thing, however, risk can mean that you will not have other possibilities of change.

Hello:

What I have found over the years is that people are funny: we are typically resistant to change ... but we need change and grow restless without it.

If change is presented to us in the "right" way, or if we prepare ourselves mentally and emotionally to accept change, we are able to embrace it and use it to our purpose and to advance our goals.

It is through change that we have the greatest opportunity for growth and achievement.

Yes, I am always ready for changes. I believe without change the real test of life can't be enjoyed. Life will be bored if there is no change. Here risk should be a regular affair.

I cannot stand the word change, I can hardly stand hearing that word in the sentence anymore, because for me it represents false hope now due to some leaders.

I've come to realize that change just is...

You can't avoid it. The key is in how you
handle it.

For me it's been attacking procrastination
and poor spending habits.

It's been a tough road, but I've improved
the quality of my life and my children's lives
just by committing to taking massive action
in those two areas.

To tell the truth, no I'm not ready for change most of the time. But change is something we must embrace no matter what. It is one of the inevitable circumstances in life. Change helps us and makes us grow to be a better and an updated version of ourselves.

Change is the only constant thing in life. Don't be afraid of it. And you'll see!

Most people are resistant to change, I thrive on it.
I was in a corporate job for about 2 years out of college and thought "THIS is what life is about? Are you kidding?"
There was no zest, no life...just procedures and routine.
Internet marketing has procedures and routine too, but I thrive off of it b/c there is a community of other minor misfits that I can cling to

All things/people change...it's what keeps things exciting!

Now, I must go and change a few things....

Like many people there are times I try to resist change
but find out afterwards it wasn't worth the effort.

Life is definitely a continuous work in progress :-)

A book I've taken a liking to recently is Neal Donald Walsh's
"When Everything Changes, Change Everything."

Continue doing what works and changing what doesn't is the key. No point being too emotional/sentimental/stubborn and doing things that do not work....... Dun get me wrong I am not suggesting not to stay focus but if things are clearly not working one must make a change......... Michael Jackson's Man in the Mirror is a great song with lyrics that ask people to make changes

Great thoughts about change in our lives and taking risk are said by many wise people.
One of the best is by Ralph Waldo Emerson:
"Do not be too timid and squeamish about your actions. All life is an experiment. The more experiments you make the better. What if they are a little course, and you may get your coat soiled or torn? What if you do fail, and get fairly rolled in the dirt once or twice. Up again, you shall never be so afraid of a tumble."
