Default Your Biggest Failure, Your Best Teacher..

every one of us experienced failure some time in our lives.. we've learned something from it..

while we are engaged here in diverse online marketing ventures, it would be very informative if you could share one or two of your failures while working on your online marketing projects and how did you overcome these failures.. what lesson did these give you?

i'll start with my own, while starting to learn the basics of making websites, i just did everything necessary to put up a website in haste, not taking time to learn SEO.. eventually, i've learned that websites do not rank in search engines without proper SEO.. so i have to undo everything and start from scratch again applying now the basics of SEO..

it was a disheartening process, but eventually i learned a valuable yet simple lesson - plan first..

My failures so far online have been due to a fundamental lack of knowledge, which I partly anticipated but didn't realise quite how much time it would 'waste'. No point in boring anyone with individual examples but I do believe that success comes from failure provided you keep at it long enough. In the end, you're going to learn something worth knowing but I suppose my worst failures have really been doing the same things over again knowing that they had already gone wrong. In some businesses you can be lucky and force something to work - but not on the internet!

my biggest failure was blowing a ton of money in PPC with the AC guys and not knowing anything before I started. When the cash ran out so did I. A little prior knowledge would have been good before that course. It said I didn't need any. DUH
