Hey everyone, I've recently finished school and before I go off to a regular 9-5 (sigh), I'd like to see if what I've got in mind might work... I'm 23 years old and I have very good experience in html, xml, css, java, graphics and flash design.. My father is a prolific writer. Mainly poetry, some amateur brain research. I'd estimate he has some 3000+ single sheets of ruled notebook paper worth of poetry. He's 70 and has been writing his whole life. I was considering creating a website where I will release his poetry every day (as much as I can type daily) and sell items such as plaques, cups, books, originals... Might this have a chance to fly? I don't forsee any problem with me getting traffic or physically setting up the website as I'm fairly internet savvy. Just wondering about the concept.. Thanks. - Mike |

Personally, I think you should do it. If he was writing poetry almost whole his life, he certainly deserve to see his work published. And it is great that you`re internet savvy enough to make it happen. Whatever concept you choose, I`m interested to see your future website. Would like to contribute with eventual suggestions. Good luck! |

Good for you! I absolutely think you should do it! Talk about making your parents proud! The internet can be a tricky place and there is a ton of information to learn, but you can do it if you really want it! . I have found an extremely helpful website that is full of information on getting your business started on the internet. If you would like to know the web address, let me know and I will get it to you! Best of luck and I can't wait to see your website!
