I have read other threads about hypnosis and internet marketing, but If I was going to book in and get hypnotherapy, what would I be asking for? I was hoping for stronger will to succeed and to limit self sabotaging thoughts. I am also hoping for a more positive outlook to myself, along with my approach to things. Are these things that can be helped with hypnosis? For anyone who uses hypnosis, what are the things you are looking for? |

Not only do I use self-hypnosis and other techniques, I also used to practice and teach hypnotherapy. Before you rush off and book yourself some sessions, I suggest you start by setting some properly constructed goals to decide where you want to be in the future and set our some sort of road map to enable you to get there. Then you must try and analyse your pattern of negative thoughts. Have a look at my blog (link in my signature) which might give you a few clues as to where to start looking for the root cause of some of your nagative thinking. Good luck, Mike |

Nice one Mike, build the foundation first - confront your demons. Many people fail at the money / weight thing (nice markets : ) Deep seated beliefs - short circuit success. But, If we can conceive it, and believe it, it can come about... Meditation, Hypnosis, visualization Binaural audios also sound appealing. What are the best methods to overcome negative programming? Clickbank has some nice products I may consider Thoughts here?? |

Had a thought. If YOU can: take consistent action, at least a little everyday, Express our passions, with a sense of purpose Experience Pleasures of life & Friendship, Joy, celebration & gratitude for anything & everything If You can fully commit that consistently - You will break through to new levels. These are big challenges, but self-hypnosis and audios sound like the next level Combined with passion & action |

Plus, you should always start your day in the right frame of mind. Every morning when I get up I immediately thank my Maker for the "great gift" of another day and I promise to make the most of it. I start my day with a smile on my face and it works wonders for everyone around me. When anyone asks me why I'm always so happy, I just tell them that today is a gift and I am so happy to just be here! The guys have made some very good points. Always be moving forward! Good Luck! I think confidence is a great contributor to the blocking of my success. Is this something you have seen with other people? | |

| I think I can safely say that I have seen lack of confidence and negative thinking in the vast majority of people. You are certainly not alone in that.

Hi, I consulted a hynotist about 12 years ago because I wasn't getting anywhere or at least not getting where I thought I should be (but nothing to do with IM). The lady was about 70 years old, obviously very intelligent and very blunt and even foul-mouthed especially for an old lady! She said she was only going to give me 3 sessions and then I had to apply what I had learnt about myself if I really wanted to succeed - she would also teach me self hypnosis so I could help myself but she would not let any of her clients become dependent on her!! VERY SOUND ADVICE and £150 very well spent. I still use the self-hypnosis technique occasionally and I find that it actually makes me feel happy rather than full of confidence but it's still good and worthwhile even though I don't immediately rush out and start making a million $$. She also taught me one technique about consulting an imaginary 'wise man' which will sound very wacky if I try to explain it but it's really great if used only very occasionally when circumstances are dire! My experience of hynosis was (and still is) very positive but maybe I was lucky because I've heard of people who have hynotherapy for years from which I suppose that they are as seriously dependent on it as others would be on drugs or alcohol. Good to hear your positive thoughts about hypnotherapy Don. I can't stress enough that if you do not set proper goals and know exactly where you want to go and how you are going to get there, not even the best hypnotherapist in the world will be able to help you. Then assuming you have got all that in place, you must be prepared to work at it yourself on a permanent basis with your self-hypnosis etc. Mike |

Hi Mike, I agree entirely about setting proper goals but 12 years ago I needed hypnosis to clear my mind sufficiently to enable me to set proper goals! So maybe that's the point where the first session should start? Don |

Hello Friend, Hypnosis is a method derived from the work of Milton Erickson (if you choose to get a book, try to keep close to him). Milton was a psychologist who observed people with a level of detail that is difficult to describe. He came to appreciate that much of what we do and think comes from an unseen place (i.e. the unconscious). Though is observations and his sessions with clients, he became a master at inducting trance, or hypnotizing individuals. The idea is you can plant a seed deep within the mind that will grow into an outcome. I encourage you to study, but here are some suggestions I give clients whose goals are similar to your own. -I want you to write down everything that makes you amazing (realize that sabotaging thoughts will try to present themselves, and that you have power over your focus - "Choose" to focus on the exercise) and spend about 20minutes writing; don't stop. -Each morning, I want you to read this list out loud in front of a mirror (odd perhaps, but these are things you must remind yourself of). -That will strengthen your confidence and hinder the sabotaging thoughts. -Now, I want you to sit back and visualize the life you want - REALLY visualize, feel, and be there. Whenever your will for success is weakened; go back to this place. It will be like jet fuel. To your success, |

Have you heard of EFT? That's a personal method used to unblock emotional ties which hold you back and keep you in negative thought, check out Brad Yates- money beyond belief. You can download his recorded teleseminars and do them every day, he's fantastic. As for a positive outlook on yourself, I can't recommend personal development and meditation enough. I used have depressively low self esteem and anorexia and I healed them both myself through personal development, spirituality and meditation. Here are some books I highly recommend: Think and grow rich- Napoleon Hill feel the fear and do it anyway- Susan Jeffers The power of your subconscious mind- Joseph Murphy Ask and it is given- Esther and Jerry Hicks The alchemist- Paulo Coelho unlimited power- Anthony Robbins Trust your vibes- Sonia Choquette The science of getting rich- Wallace wattles Having it all- John Assaraf Conversations with God- Neale Donald Walsch The big moo- Seth Godin Rich Dad poor dad- Robert Kiyosaki The way to the top- Donald Trump The power of the Kaballah- Yehuda Berg True prosperity- Yehuda Berg Having it all- John Assaraf The Answer- John Assaraf Anything by Wayne Dyer The slight edge- Jeff Olsen Anything and everything by Anthony Robbins Self meditation by Glenn Harold Search for specific things you want to improve, but read lots and listen to audio books lots. I've done lots of videos on this type of thing, you're welcome to see my YouTube channel at http://www.youtube.com/reach4prosperity.com Or I've also got articles on it on my blog: Katie Panton's Blog |
