I sent out my latest newsletter to my list of 51. I was pleased when someone not only opened my email but immediately bought one of my special offers. AND he bought from me once before. First repeat customer!

I shouldn't disclose this but... I had my website BANNED from google and going from 500 to 0 to 50 visits a day.

And, thanks to the LIST, I have continued to pull in 6 figures... regardless :-)

Wow! Awesome! As long as we keep our faith, good things will come our way. But I'd suggest you sign up to AWeber asap. If you're really serious in building your online business, you should go ahead with it right from the start. It's only $19/month if your list is <500. That's a small operating expense compared to any of the costs involved in a traditional business.

If you are serious about list building you have to get some service like Aweber or Traffic wave... It is way easier and more productive for you to use them with big lists.
I think everybody has heard that "Money is in the list." but not everybody believes it.

List building is beautiful. Everybody should start doing it sooner.

When I first started mine, I had it set to notify me whenever each new person subscribed. I'd see all these emails that sais, 'Bill has subscribed to your list.' Nice little ego boost there. Of course, I turned the darn notification off at some point.

I am talking about services that will do solo ads, or listing building on auto-pilot kind of stuffs.

Yip, the saying "The money is in the list" really is true.
Don't forget once you have a decent size list you can that start having some leverage in that you can partner up with JV's and promote their products while they promote yours.

The list truly is a powerful concept.

That's a great suggestion, AWeber has been one of the best and most useful tools in my IM career.

I have only been involved in IM for a short while but the power of the list is the most prominent sentiment coming from anyone who knows anything.

After a few months of trying to get my head around all of the information that is both freely available and available in the warrior forum, it is the message that comes out loud and proud, build a list and that is now where all of my focus is going.

As was mentioned earlier, there is nothing like getting the first sale from your list, other than getting several but even with a small list, an autoresponder is a must for both the work saved in being able to set up a series of follow ups, to the ease of use when mailing even to a small number of subscribers.

I wish you luck in your list building efforts.

I'm currently torn between Aweber and GetResponse, and looks like I'm probably going to go with Aweber.
