Default A Powerful Tool For Success...

During today’s reading I came across a quote that really
fired me up. You know when you’re just so mentally tired it
makes you sleepy?? Well this was me around 7:40 this
morning.

So there I was forcing myself to study when BAAAMM

..it hit me like a ton of bricks, giving me the extra push I
needed to get some major work done.

“Though no one can go back and make a brand-new
start, anyone can start from now and make a brand-new
ending” –Carl Bard

Quotes are great because they’re like mini shots of
adrenaline. They sum up the main idea of a message in a
few short sentences.

In looking at a few that often inspire me I found…

“Anything worth doing is worth doing poorly-until you
can learn to do it well” –Steve Brown

“Anyone willing to sit at the feet of failure and soak
up everything there is to learn will graduate quickly
to the school of peak performance” –Zig Ziglar

“I miss 100% of the shots that I never take” –Wayne Gretzky

“You can have everything in life you want if you will just
help enough people get what they want” –Zig Ziglar

…and the list goes on and on but what I’d like you to do
is share a quote(s) that is meaningful to you. Help inspire
others as you have been inspired.

Quotes are powerful.

I personally tape quotes on my desk and right on my wall as you walk into my home office I have about 30 different fortune cookie fortunes. It is amazing how powerful a few sentances can be though.

"The answer will not come to you...you need to look for it"

...thats one of my fortunes

The human mind is like an elastic, once stretched by a new idea, it never goes back to its former shape. I think this came from Oliver Wendell Homes

And another favorite from Maya Angelou: When you know better, you do better.

I too love quotes. In fact, I'm just in the process of compiling a book of Christmas quotations that will be available for sale soon on Amazon. I plan to create other books of quotations in the new year as well.

If there was a way to get a few good quotes on a daily basis, what format would anyone reading this like? Online? In a book? In a card deck? Any other ideas?

Thanks for any feedback on the question.

Something similar to this that was a BAM! moment for me

"Who we are today is the result of the choices we made yesterday. Who we become tomorrow is the result of the choices we make today"

Can't remember who said it though but anyways, with your quote, it's now DOUBLE BAM! for me...I better get studying for exams....

I'm a great believer in luck, and I find the harder I work, the more I have of it. ~ Thomas Jefferson

Exactly! Sometimes I cannot concentrate working at home, but reading some motivations quotes really inspired me to work.

I know this is all 'wrong' because it is a quote of sorts that looks backward rather than forward so it's completely contrary to conventional motivational thinking and it's from a pop song, which again is all 'wrong' and it's written by Frank Sinatra (and Paul Anka) and pretty much everything else is 'wrong' with it, but I still find it inspiring. You can hear it and feel it rather than just see it written down and it's most definitely from someone who really, really, really had walked his talk with a vengeance.

Yes there were times, I'm sure you knew
When I bit off more than I could chew
But through it all, when there was doubt
I ate it up and spat it out
The record shows
I took the blows
And did it my way

Apologies everyone - not really the thing for a sophisticated Warrior thread - but I still like it, anyway!

JT-
This is good stuff. I attended a Zig Ziglar seminar years ago and I remember him quoting Henry Ford- If you think you can or cannot, you are right.
