Below is an article I written and I wanted to share it with you. I hope you enjoy it. How a Rich Mindset Can Lead to a Wealthy Lifestyle It is every persons dream, who lives in a "civilized" society, to live the lavish life. To be able to travel the world and buy the things you want and deserve without worry. To live in a big home in a prosperous community. To drive the best and latest cars. To wear the best clothes designed from the top clothing designers in the world. To send your children off to the best schools for the best education possible. Some may even say... "In order to have those things I need to be rich." It's true! In order to live the kind of lifestyle I described above you must have the income. However, you don't need to be materially rich. You must first become mentally rich! To me being rich is having knowledge of self, true happiness and good health habits. You can be wealthy without being rich. And, you can be rich without being wealthy. Wealth is material possessions. Being rich is a state of mind. Being rich is being fruitful and having gratitude! In order to become financially wealthy, you must first become mentally rich. You have to go to work on yourself. You have to learn the secrets of those who have achieved the level of success you desire. You have to become a master of time management, a master of spiritual growth, and a master of self. In order to live the life you deserve, you must find your major definite purpose and then go to work to make it real for you. Wealth will only come your way if you plan for it. By planning to acquire wealth you must first develop a rich state of mind by watering your seeds of greatness that's within the soil of your subconscious mind. In our pursuit of wealth, what we are truly seeking is freedom and unlimited choices! So... in our pursuit of wealth the outcome is of least importance. What's most important is the person you have to become to attract the wealth and lifestyle you want. And, that takes persistence, dedication, commitment, discipline, willingness, and a positive mental attitude. Learn to develop a rich mindset and watch your life take on a whole new meaning. |

Great story. I have heard this before from Tony Robbins. He also stated that you must mentally envision the type of lifestyle you desire on a daily basis to become wealthy. I do this myself on a daily basis. Wow, what a great feeling planting those seeds for my future.

I am in no position to tell you to walk away from you job so you can focus more of your attention on your internet marketing business. Every successful entrepreneur has stayed with their job before making the leap. I would only do this if I am making at the least the same amount per month as I would make on my 9-5 job. And even that would not be a good idea in my opinion. You should be making more! So here's the deal... make the leap only if you are making at "least" the same amount per month as you do on your job and you have at "least" 4-6 months of monthly expenses saved in an emergency account. If you do decide to leave your job, leave on good terms by working out your 2 weeks notice because you never know when you'll need you job back. Always be thinking of a backup plan! Again, I don't know your financial situation but you have to be smart about this and only YOU truly know the answer to your question. Good luck my good friend. Hope to talk soon!

Hey Michael, Quick note... notice I said "emergency account" and not savings or retirement account. You should never touch those accounts by any means!

The point is your backup plan helps you to see more clearly so that you avoid making the same mistakes. Never staying down, always getting back up and reevaluating your previous plan of attack. Nothing more, nothing less! What is you backup plan my friend? You should have one if you don't!

I don't have a back up plan but I know I have to succeed online. Now, I have some success and I know how to sell a site or a product as an affiliate. I know for sure that I can't go back to my job because I am so close to do this full time. For the first time I have a JV partner and opportunity to do something really well. I hope I will be able to have a rich mindset and everything that goes with that. Nice post |

Congratulations on your success and I believe that you will continue to succeed at what you're doing. Having a backup plan doesn't necessarly have to do with going back to your job. A backup plan can also consist of having multiple streams of income too. In regards to jobs, Michael T asked for my opinion about leaving his 9-5 and going full time with his IM business. Like I stated to him I don't know his financial situation but if he has no savings and he's just getting started, I feel it wouldn't entertain him to just up and leave without having some sort of backup plan in place. Again, congratulations on your progress and may you continue to be blessed while succeeding online. ![]() Oh, by the way, I'm sure you're well on your way to having a rich mindset my good friend.

To me being rich is to walk on the beach and play my guitar in concerts....having money may allow this....but being rich in the heart is what counts most. I do love being here in Monterey California, many rich people live here and in the Carmel and Pebble Beach area of the Monterey Peninsula....yet I love this place not for the money I can make here, but because of the people , the ocean, fisherman's wharf the shops and restaurants and lifestyle that I choose to live in. I wouldn't want to live any other way.....Having a mansion is great, but I'd live here in a trailer if I had to....I love this place...a place in my heart !! |
