Default Brain versus Mind - do you make a distinction?

I think that the brain and mind are two prety separate entities and it pays to consciously engage whichever is most appropriate for the task you're performing.
To me, my brain is what I use to do my accounts, or write out a list of things to do and to prioritize that list. I also use my brain for some routine conversations especially ordinary low-stakes business and even some so-called 'thinking on your feet' which implies creativity but is often merely summoning up well rehearsed phrases and techniques that fit the apprently quick-fire situation you're dealing with.
Obviously from what I've just said, I view my mind as my creative resource and also as what provides my drive and ambition as well as controlling or giving rein to my feelings and emotions.
You may think that 'controlling feelings' is a brain function but in my little world at least, it is mainly the job of my mind for complex reasons which I can't really explain - but I'm working on it.
I also think that inside my head there are other 'mechanisms' for which I have no real words but are in the faith/belief realms.
Does anyone have similar (or opposite) views?

You do sound to be a pretty confused individual

Brain is physical as are the heart / lungs / endocrine systems etc...

Mind is the ability to connect each and insinuate the connection to energy and spirit etc.

Yeah it sounds very esoteric but there is a fundamental difference between the physical and not both from your question level and up to the energy value..

So WTF am I talking about??

Well you started it with your superpowermindset.com site but truth is no matter what anyone says we all make our reality based on our expectations, and our expectations are all based on our upbringing and the beliefs fed to us by our parents - hey mine say I'll never have anything - have just reached 45 and I don't believe that anymore , and have started to take steps to prove that - anyone else and surpassed hit that barrier yet???

I guess brain is an organ meanwhile the mind controls the brain and the rest organs.

I'll throw my 2 cents in here.

Although trained as a scientist, this is what I believe, simply put.

Your "brain" is a functioning calculator, computer, whatever you like.

Your "mind" converts the raw data into your view of life.

To give an example, I was "poor growing up". That is not only a financial situation, but a state of mind as well. I really did not think that that was going to change. Yes, I am talking about myself.

As I grew up, I became wealthy, only to lose all my money on a venture that went "south". This time, I was not "poor", I was broke.

What's the difference , you ask?

Poor is a state of mind. Broke is a temporary financial condition, which would turn around shortly.

You see, I knew I would become wealthy again, but I would never be "poor" again.

The brain says one thing, the mind says another.
