Call it selling out - literally

. We sold 1,600 books in 10 minutes on Home Shopping Network this past Friday.

Just thought I'd share this video to inspire some people and show that Warriors do more than just sell digital products online.

They had me scheduled for two shows but had to cancel the second appearance because they had nothing left in stock.

The HSN staff is really good at selling. Look at the running total and see if you can spot the marketing triggers the host was using to boost sales:

Sure. There are many more in print but HSN only ordered 1,600 for that show.

They said that it went so well they're going to have me back on soon - probably before the holidays.

It was hard work. I had to sleep with as many of the producers as possible. LOL. Just joking if my wife is reading this.

The book got media attention and became a best seller first. Then the publisher Simon & Schuster pitched the idea to the show. It was a good fit for their audience and already had a good sales record - so they gave it a chance on the show.

It really all comes down to people making decisions that affect other people's lives. The people making decisions are usually motivated by money. If you have a proven way for them to make more money, it's just a matter of getting it in front of them. If you can't do it yourself, you can find the person who can (publicist, agent, jv broker, etc).

The hard part is really coming up with the proven idea. Many Warriors already have. Once you do that, everything else is a lot easier. The opportunities for exposure are there if you go after it.

Way to go Ron. HSN can sure move a lot of products. It has been many years ago now, but I worked in the distribution system of HSN at one time. It was just a constant stream of boxes going through that place, and we were only one of three centers at the time.

I hope they reschedule that second show for you. But next time take more books.

. But nothing ready to sell right now. WSOs have never been my focus. I've actually only done 2 of them since 2004 and one was free.

If that is the gross, then I'll assume that some of that would still have to go to someone else (fees, taxes, cuts, etc.)..but still it's excellent.

Hey can you give me the name of the producers so I could sleep with them too!

HSN has come a long way. I remember when they started in Clearwater. We could actually go in and pickup our orders. That was when they were just a local show. Then they went public and took off like a rocket. Stock split once or twice and the rest is history.

Ron you are something else man. I am amazed at what you have done with that book. Congrats. That has to be a nerve racking experience standing live in front of those bright lights and cameras.

Thanks Don. It's actually not that bad once you do it a few times. I didn't even rehearse for that segment. All you really have to do is have 3-5 points that you keep saying over and over.

Congrats, Ron, but I think you are selling yourself short. I've seen some interviews done by HSN and they don't just take anyone.

Those people know how to move products - but they choose the products carefully, too.

Hope they get more copies so you can put that pretty face on the tube again soon.

We did recreate the Hooters wings although to me there were a couple of ingredients
missing if you know what I mean!
