Hi Craig,

I have the opposite problem, meaning I ignore all (marketing) gurus since I don't think I need any help. Some of the self-improvement gurus I respect, but would not ever worship.

My favorite parts of this video were (early on) when he mentioned the habit of using "imaginary gurus."
and (near the end) when he discussed "surpassing your teacher."

Thanks for sharing.

He does a great job with videos. I don't normally like the longer videos because most people end up boring me by the end of three minutes...lol. Good message in there, too.

Thanks for posting, Craig.

He's great. That's a useful message powerfully and simply spoken. As a teacher that heor worship gets in the way. If you see a guru or mentor that enjoys being deferred to and worshipped - run.
Thanks for posting the video Craig.

Good video.

I think it's tempting to "guru worship", as Sean puts it, because it removes personal responsibility and it explains away our own inadequacies.

If the guru is special or perfect, their success and our lack of success can be easily explained, without us really taking a critical look at ourselves.

Can we do what a "guru" does? You bet. It's a lot less exciting than it seems...

Loved the video, great advice - thanks Sean.

Great gurus' delight in the success and mastery of their students and they do not want to be worshipped. So if your Guru is caught up in their ego and need to be worshipped, take note and take flight.

That was an awesome video.

I often felt that guru worshiping syndrome when I was
new to the network marketing industry. People like
Mike Dillard, Daegan Smith, Jonathan Budd and onward.

Now I view them more as friends with cool strategies.
It's weird how time changes that perception.

Nonetheless, it's true, don't fall in love with the guru,
fall in love with the message.
