I got the pink slip today. It was the old 'we just aren't a good fit' excuse. Come to find out that someone who was just recently hired had a friend who was a graphic designer too (my previous position...) and needed a job. They start Monday. So here's my dilemma: I love this whole IM thing. I want to do it full time - because it's a huge challenge to keep up with and grow with. I love finding new linking strategies (probably ones already 'discovered') and I love using automation software to get the job done. How can I use this getting fired situation to leap into the IM world? |

I truly wish you could get a good position. Cause now i have the similar trouble, It seems that I don't wanna work here anymore, I am so tired and there's no opportunity for advancement. But I don't know what I can do if I quit my job. |

when i didn't have a job, i would freelance. maybe u should sign up on guru.com or the other sites out there to see if you can find part time work. i still keep my day job while i work on internet marketing at night. i know some people like the "sink or swim" approach. they just quit their job and then they hope this forces them to focus on internet marketing. I have been reading up on internet marketing for over a year now. finally, it all seems to make sense. some people can start making money right away. others, like me needed time to understand everything! good luck!

Forget automation for now. If you are a good graphic designer you should be operating in that niche. You could be any of the following 1. Service provider 2. Turnkey site builder/flipper 3. Resource provider (blog about techniques) 4. Tech support (support other designers for a fee) Just some ideas |

Your sig shows you have access to templates so why not roll out one or two great ones per day and then list on warrior classified? Should be able to work up to flippa and some real $$$$$ fairly shortly? | |

Site flipping, never really thought of that. I'll have to see what is involved and how to start. Thank you for the idea... |

Hey Blur, good luck, man. I've made several 100 thousand in profit from IM. In my experience revenue can fluctuate wildly. I'm just sayin: IM is awesome. I love it. But you might want to keep your employment options open. Telecommuting is becoming more prevalent by the day. With programs such as Hot Lead Spy you can search the entire country (craigslist) for jobs in your specialty with "telecommuting" as a keyword. 2cents, Jon |

Yeah - I don't plan on skipping a full time job, just want to get this going asap. I've been reading on site flipping and I'm going to try that direction! |
