I'm not bad at Internet Marketing, I have a regular recurring online income, I own my house, I don't have any debts. A well crafted email or a well created sales page usually makes me some good money practically instantly. Money is never an issue,but... I feel a bit lost at the moment though, I've completely lost my "Zest for life". I am able to get everything I want and yet I feel completely dissatisfied, how can I shake this feeling? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated |

Maybe you need a challenge? Find someone who really needs your help... and then help them.

Growth and contribution are two of the most basic human needs. When you miss these it can really drag you down. I agree with john2k - find a challenge to make you grow and in the process help someone less fortunate than you. And, everyday wake up and be thankful for what you already have. |

The question you put is rather broad. If you mean IM, change the scale. Where you worked for yourself and your family move to your city or society, may be start some project facilitating the whole country. If you speak generally, look around - you're sure to find spheres of interest you overlooked in your life. Start exploring them. Enegry, enthusiasm and magic comes only in movement, development and change of what you perceive. |

Hi moonfish, I'd suggest traveling - go to India or Thailand or somewhere exotic like that. A complete break from your daily routine and life. Dramatically interrupt your patterns. Do it for at least 90 days. Then mentor others in what you have learned and get them debt-free as well! A friend of mine started a school in Cambodia: Sustainable Cambodia: Sylvia Lasky School Doing that was a great achievement for him. His life has really changed. Let us know how it goes... - Sean |

Oh, dear - I see where you're coming from - being content can be rather tricky! And this is even when you got all you wanted, ironically enough You could either pick up a serious hobby, or do what has been suggested here - travel, raise the bar (take up new challenges within IM), or (it'll be great if you could get around to this) help someone less fortunate than yourself. Also, a good time to look within, and meditate on life, the universe, and everything? In this pensive mood, you may make interesting discoveries. If you have the time, reading books and watching films (you'll have to find appropriate stuff, of course) can really get you to feel inspired. Amusingly enough, when I hit a low, a depressing film makes me feel quite lucky - and all of a sudden I feel rather privileged to be alive, and it cures any discontent that I may have for a good while! And aww, is it just me, or does the expression on your profile pic match the sentiments just described in your post? |

I went through this recently as well. What you need is a new "something" to peek you're interest again. A new hobby if you will. For me, I found IM. Now its my new passion. Pottery perhaps? Fishing? Find something you always wanted to do but never did for whatever reason, and DO IT! Grab the bull by the ...uh horns. Vacation time.

Moonfish, Hey! Won't ask you how you are because you just told me! ![]() However, may I ask you a question? Do have someone special, or someone's special to share your success with? A lot of people who meet their goals feel as you do because they don't have anyone to share and rejoice with! Love conquers all, Love is the greatest "magic" that exists, Love costs nothing to give and nothing to recieve! Just start showing some love and know that there are many types of love, not just romantic love! Then your "magic should come back! Loving is fun! Just showing some love and compassion to a fellow warrior who sounds like he needs some! Go on now, go have some fun! MissTerraK |

Go to an animal shelter and adopt an adult dog that needs to be someone's best friend - do volunteer work to help those who are worse off than you are. What is amazing is that while you are helping others - you help yourself even more. Being "content" is not enough - and can be boring. Being involved is often the spice you need. Showing kindness and knowing you made a difference in an animal's life or a person's life focuses on things outside your self and your well-arranged life and can often provide perspective very quickly. kay |

I feel for you, man. Losing your 'mojo' sucks. That lack of a joy for life and feeling like you're walking through life just going through the motions... maybe I'm projecting here! For me what worked was ACTION. As you said - SHAKE yourself out of it. Go back to what you get a kick out of, what gives you joy, what makes you feel alive. Usually that's physical rather than mental. Go for a run, a fast walk. Go dancing. Pick up a guitar and strum the heck out of it. Go to the cricket and watch the Poms beat the Aussies (joking of course!). Do something for yourself that gives you enjoyment regularly. Be kind to yourself. The slump will disappear eventually - taking action to make yourself feel good makes it happen quicker! All the best mate. |

material possesions bring comfort, pleasure from satisfying the senses - but true joy comes from within - finding it is a rewarding journey It may be useful to evaluate your beliefs - try some meditation and read a few spiritul books I would recommend "The Art of Happiness" by the Dalai Lama good luck with your journey | |

Seems like you lack a purpose in life and that's probably what you should focus on doing - find your purpose in life. Steve Pavlina has written a great article on finding your purpose. Check it out. How to Discover Your Life Purpose in About 20 Minutes Hope it helps. Cheers~ Mark |

Thanks for your feedback and support folks, I'd just hit a rut. I took some time out to do some non IM related activities and I feel fine now. I live a bit of an insular existence and most of the time it suits me but sometimes I guess I take life for granted, when I should be thankful for what I have. Thanks again Rob |

Do what you love and love what you do would be my advice. If you do IM and still you have that nagging feeling...well you should find what makes your heart sing! -Lauri |

I worked as a medical photographer years ago. Some of the most happy and content people I have ever met in my entire life were the hospital's volunteers. Some were very well off and young, while some were very old and poor. They were also some of the most kind and calm yet energetic people too. Might be some kind of message in that |
