The Answer To All Of Life’s Problems

I just finished a light run in my neighborhood.
And as the endorphins and the creative juices started flowing I had one of those moments. It hit me like a light bulb idea.

But it is a real simple thought, concept, and/or principle. I’m not psychic. But I realized that the answer to all of our problems is hard work. Now this is basic but sometimes the obvious slips away from us as we go through our daily grind and repetition.

HARD WORK: It is that simple. If you are having relationship problems whether it is with a significant other, a friend, or family member then you just have to WORK it out.

If you are facing a professional obstacle you have to KEEP WORKING!

If you feel that you are out of shape then WORK OUT!

If you have a plan that is sitting in your mind asking you to do something…then simply WORK IT! WORK THAT PLAN!

If you have been defeated then you gotta WORK on a comeback!

If you have gained a victory then get back to WORK so you can do it again!

I am a big fan of Will Smith. When asked about his success and mindset…he stated this:

“I will NOT be outworked. Period… You might have more talent than me, you might
be smarter than me, you might be sexier than me, you might be all of those things.
You got it on me in nine categories. But if we get on the treadmill together, there’s
two things: Either you’re getting off first, or I’m gonna die. It’s really that simple.”

I just finished reading “Think Big” for the second time. It is a FANTASTIC book in my opinion. Donald Trump talks a lot about HARD WORK and how that it is the only real shortcut to success. Donald Trump went through a rough period in which he owed millions and millions of dollars to numerous banks. During this time frame, he was invited to a banker’s convention. His receptionist or secretary gave him a reminder about the time and place. Mr. Trump did not want to go. Banker’s were after him. He was a prime target. BUT he knew he had to go. He got himself together, postured up, gathered poise and attended the event. Although the evening was not all ice cream and cupcakes…Mr. Trump found a way to turn that awkward and humiliating situation into a positive and profitable decision.

Hard work is vital. Agonizing focus with hard work will take you very very far. BUT you have to accommodate that hard work with PASSION and LOVE.
Your hard work will seem easy because you love what you are doing. Do what you love and work hard at it. I heard a pastor say, “Work at your play and play at your work!”

Rellie, would it be allright if I built off of this and said the answer to all life problems is hard work yet efficiently?

Hard work and dedication will always get you there, but I feel efficiency can cut the time it takes exponentially in the long run.

I believe those who work smart will end up ahead of those who simply work out hard.

For example:
You can workout for an hour and focus on working hard or you can workout only with the intention of doing the exercise correctly. Of course if you're thinking efficiently you'll find the balance between the two : )

If you find an obstacle you can't seem to overcome, you may be approaching it from the wrong angle. Sometimes you need to take a few steps back in order to get a better view of the obstacle and find the best point of attack.

I agree on the efficiency part. Hard work is the force that will get you there, but if you are spinning your wheels, pushing up against a wall, etc, all the hard work in the world won't get you past it. Efficiency on its own also won't get you anywhere. Both are vital. Thanks for your thoughts!

I love the whole keep plodding and learning philosophy. Over 10 years ago as a homeschool mom with 6 kids at home I never imagined the websites I started as a hobby would be making me money.

Or when someone suggested "why don't you write about what you know" (parenting I have 7 kids lol) that would lead to becoming a freelance writer.

It has been a process of hard work, learning to be more efficient and trying new things. This Warrior Forum, for example, has been an amazing "teacher" for me. I am not used to thinking about marketing myself or my sites really. A whole new bag of tricks!

I agree about focus and efficiency. They complement one another and it would be hard to succeed without the other. You can work all you want but without focus and efficiency, you'll just be running in a quicksand. You can have all the focus without efficiency and without working and you'll just hurt your brains. You can have efficiency but without focus and work, there's nothing to be efficient about.

You made a great post that is filled with many good thoughts, but . . . there is no one answer to anything. Everything you know as truth, enlightenment, and wisdom, is in reality, only so from your unique perspective.

I can look out my kitchen window and see my hand-made park bench by the lilac bushes, the bird bath over by the locust tree, and the start of a rock garden. If you look out your kitchen window you will see something else. We are like that. What we see depends on where we are in our life's journey, and we each have a different vantage point. No one can see things from our exact perspective because no one has had the exact same experiences.

I believe in hard work too, but one can also work too hard. Overwork can lead to mental and physical breakdowns, and can even cause death. I'm guessing you're a young person, but you're smart too, so I thought you might want to add to your perspective.

Hard work must be measured against results gained. This is where testing & measuring comes in.

If after working hard for some time there are no results, sack that project and move to the next.

To relate it to the recruiting industry, we always used to say "hire slow and fire fast". Same applies here - choose your projects wisely (and work hard on them) and if they don't perform, fire them.

Hey Folks, There is a key point still left, hard work, efficiency, focus, all this is necessary, but the most important is the right Thoughts, these formulate your Ideas and decisions. Ideas and decisions then need work to be put to reality.

Now the irony is when you stress your self too much, then you ability to get good ideas, your decision making capacity and your focus gets lost.

So while hard work is important, its also necessary to take it easy about what you are doing.
